I've seen a couple of remarks that seem to say" stay away from spears"
With spears two rows can atack .. so why are the conciderd so bad?
Am i missing some information ?
First, read this thread - at least the first section concerning Skeleton Options: http://www.librarium-online.com/foru...ing-lists.html (Common points made when commenting on lists)
Hope it clears things up a bit
- Bowmen can fire shots with the same Strength as a Combat Skeleton. More shots can be targetted than a Skellie unit would EVER inflict as Close Combat attacks, not those fielded with Hand Weapons nor those with Spears.
- Skellies cannot hold for long. A TK Player should make his/her enemy weaker before entering combat.
- Spears vs Hand Weapons - Yes, the Spears will give you more attacks but less survivability... With more dead Skeletons, you will easier loose combat. Since the attacks of Skellies are as weak as they are, no more attacks is needed, but numbers.
- When talking numbers: You cannot field as many Spears (with LA) as Hand Weapons (with LA). You cannot field as many Hand Weapons (with LA) as Bows (without LA).
