    Carrion substitute

I don't like the carrion models. They look like random piles of feathers and sinew in my eyes. Does anyone know if it's possible to finde vulture models somewhere else in roughly the same scale?

As for the bone gigant (he might become better in the next army book version) I'm going for the reaper models version.

I'm with you on this, Ratus. I'm not a big fan of the GW Carrion either. Mainly I think they're too big (especially only being US1) and look too much like zombies. I haven't found anything even remotely similar in my searches.

Reaper has two nice Bone Giant replacements. The Skeletal Giant and the Skeletal Colossus (I think) and both are cheaper monetarily...the Skeletal Giant by ALOT. The Skeletal Giant is only slightly shorter than our BG, and the Colossus is only slight larger according to a post I recall reading in passing on their sizes. Sadly, I can't find it again...which is making me mad.

Hehe, I totally disagree with you two The Carrion model is awesome ( but I may be blinded since I love them so much - LOVE IS BLIND )

To the question I cannot answer, since I haven't checked it out, hahaha

I'm with Nagash on this one. Love those funky carrion (even if they are a bitch to try and rank up).

Anyhoo, if you want something a bit different then I would take a look at the warmaster carrion. I've seen a few people use these since they have a slightly different look to them and cost a lot less. Well worth taking a look at before you decide.
Because Sun Tzu would play Tomb Kings...

For my Carrion, I actually used Spear Skellies (Finally, they're good for something!). I'm waiting for Harpie wings for mine, but I'm starting to think they look good without them. Here, take a look.

And yes Nagash, I do have five of them. ^^

They're not like any other model in my army, and they're a good 3-4" off the base for flying porposes... I bet they are. ^^

    Great idea, bro.

I just had an additional thought...maybe try adding some 40K Chaos Spawn wings to them? If TG weren't so damned expensive, I'd almost suggest using them for a more fearsome appearance. Maybe take Reaper's Tomb Guard (which looks more like mummies than skeletal undead) and add those wings if you're up for/good at conversion?

Would I be able to fit two wings on their backs? Maybe I'll give that a try. Make it a Carrion Champion.
