I want to know, is the Great weapon on the tomb king Modeled, after an real weapon? of any kind?
Which King? One has a Sword and the other a Spear - like thing. I imagine they both existed in some similar form...
I would have thought so, if some guy from GW can think of it I'm sure an ancient blacksmith would have beaten them to it. Couple of things though, its not necessarily based on an 'Egyptian' weapon and it could easily be based on a ceremonial weapon and not that practical (I spose they'd be more likely to be mummified with stuff like that) . They definitely used swords called khopesh though, they look similar to the sword and shield model's weapon.
I don't think it is an actual weapon per se.
I looks to be a stylised version of a weapon with elements drawn from a number of historical examples. I don't think I've seen anything exactly like it IRL and suspect the artist just thought it looked cool.
Because Sun Tzu would play Tomb Kings...
Thanks, i was looking for the Great weapon one, which i guess just a fancy halberd like thing. Because i couldnt find anything else about it, thank you for the info about the Khopesh
