when i use smiting in CC does each model in the unit only make one attack or like one regular phase of attacks?
Smiting is just the ONE attack per model - so a champion only gets ONE attack not 2.
Although the King with Destroyer of Eternities gets to use his special attack in smiting.
So he gets 2 str 7 auto hits on each model he touches....quality. This is in the FAQ so it's ok.
I find it pretty effective on a chariot unit. Each 'element' of the chariot model gets to make an attack. So each horse gets one, and each rider and warrior gets one. It's usually 12 attacks.
holy smokes no wonder everyone uses the DoE, that fella can cloak himself anywhere and then smite himself xD frick now i need a king on foot!
Warchief Diggah o da Bloodmoon Squiggahs
THEY WILL KICK ASS...
... If you play them correctly, that is
I like the Cloak with DOE for the King. I often use the Collar on the hierophant and pop him in a large block of SW.
When you play your regular opponents it's nice to use it now and again, as when you keep the DOE but give the Cloak to the hierophant they are never sure if he has it or not, and that causes them to be more cautious.
Also, even though the King can fly to be in magic charge range you have to incant yourself in, which doesn't always work and then you are a bit exposed. Mind you, if it was like the Steed of Shadows it would be awesome. 20 inch charge range with one of the best weapons in the game - mmmmmmmmm.
I agree with Nagash about IoR - it's so cool to be able to turn round and have a charge range of 12 inches - once again, occasionally swapping it for Icon Sacred Eye to keep the opponents on their toes.
