I have a game this weekend with a mate of mine and as the title states, I'm using TK and him OK. I have never even seen Ogres before let alone fought them.
I was thinking something along the lines of a big ta rpit unit of skel warriors with a TK in it, flanked by ushabti and chariots and 2 ssc's but apart from that I really have no clue what to go for here. Would anyone be willing to share any advice/past experiences/ do's and don'ts. All help would be appreciated.
Well ogres arn't very good so they shouldn't be that much of an issue just flank them lots with chariots and other quick things. What ive noticed with people with long lines of monsters is that they tend to stagger them and leave there flanks open because they don't think anything will dare to try. Never try and take an ogre charge to the front that just wont work they cause too much damage. Also by charging then in the flanks suddenly all you have to do it kill one ogre and now they can't attack back.
Oh and bring the Kanopi
it seems like catapults and chariots would be good here. Maybe a king with DOE...he can then use the power to put 2 S7 KB autohits on two different ogres...that sounds like a recipe for quickly killing off expensive models. Ogres seem slow enough and non-shooty enough that you wouldn't have trouble getting ushabti into their flank...or keep their attention with the ushabti, then flank charge them with chariots at the same time that you hit them frontally with the ushabti...but yeah, stock skellies'll be useless. Tomb Guard might be okay, At least they're S4 KB...

as for Killing blow vs. ogres....no dice, KB only works on U.S. 1 or 2.
Ogres won't be using ranks right? If so, than the cheap skellies can help swing a battle in your favor. I second the Ushabti's, and maybe a scorp or 2. The screaming skulls with SotF should get 'em running....

Make sure you watch out... OK can easily kill your Hierophan with Leadbelchers if you don't

Cheers for the help so far guys. The reason I was going to have the blocks of stock skels was to put them out in front slightly in the hope that they'd take the brunt of the charge and my Ushabti and the chariots could get flank charge em.
I'm going to be taking 2 scorpions to deploy behind there lines to give him something to think about. Also I'm tossing up between a TP and the IB. I know everyone hates the IB but I thought with a decent banner and keeping him and his unit near the ushabti they could help eachother (what with the less CR crumble dmg for the ushabti and all). I'm not sure where people get the impression ogres are slow, a stock standard ogre has M6! Outrageous. Lastly, why enkhils kanopi? I'm assuming it has something to do with ogres having a few SiP spells?

Im pretty sure all Ogre Spells are Remain in Play spells. Its just how their gut magic works yeah?

Only the Rhinox Riders which are Fogeworld. They can't find much that can take the weight!
