Welcome to Librarium Online!
hey guys, i ws wondering what u would be better 3 ushabti or a bone gaint? my list has a unit of 30 skeley warriors hw/sh. 2 units of 30 bow men and a 25 man unit of tomb guard. along with the casket high liche, tomb king, and a regular liche and 2 scops and to cats. also 2 units of chariots as a quick overview. Or should a bring any of these? what do u think?
I don't think there is whole lot of difference between them to be honest. All things considered I'd probably go with the BG in this list though because it can work very well as a solo tarpit -and that will make your archers a bit more potent because they'll have more time to do their thing.
So long as you don't make the cardinal error of trying to use the BG to bail out a unit that's already doomed it should work OK for you.
Because Sun Tzu would play Tomb Kings...

And anyway, the bone giant looks way cooler
If I were going to take ushabti in the first place, I'd have to take significantly more than three of them to feel comfortable about their ability to do anything except attract fire. But I'd rather have ushabti than a bone giant in general... I guess my answer has to be the bone giant, since the other choice is exactly three ushabti, and I'd never take so few of them.

I too would need to take more Ushabti to feel better about their effectiveness if they make it to combat. Key word being "if".
If you reduce the 3 Ushabti by 3 wounds (and they are only T4 5+ AS wounds) the effectiveness is reduced by a lot. If you reduce the bone giant by 3 wounds (much tougher T5 3+ AS wounds) you still get the full effectiveness of the giant.
Plus, for some reason, the giant seems to create more fear in my opponents than 3 Ushabti. So it's good for psychologic reasons too, but you'll want to have something else that will require your opponent's attention or the giant will be the focal point of all enemy shooting and magic.
thanks for all your help guys. Sorry its been awhile since ive made it back to the fourms. But the points about the bone giant are very true and have now chose to pick it over the ushabti. The reason i was so iffy on the choice in the first place is because i LOVE the ushabti models and could not find a way to fit a unit of 6 in this list. But the bone gaint is also a cool model and i have decided to use it. Thanks for everyones help
