    Character equipment choices

So let's say you have a standard 2000ish point list (Bowmen a plenty, casket, catapult, and so on). What kind of characters do you run and how do you run them?

I've been doing some thinking on it and I'm pretty much set on going from...

    Tomb King General
-Great Weapon, Silver armor and the Dawn Stone

    High Liche Priest
-Collar of Shapesh, Plaques of Re rolling

    Tomb Prince
-Great Weapon, Ruby Ring of Ruin

    Liche Priest
    -Opal Amulet, Casket of Souls

    to

    Tomb King General
-Great Weapon, Heavy Armor of 4+ ward

    High Liche Priest
    -Collar of Shapesh, Hieratic Jar

    Tomb Prince
-Great Weapon, Ruby Ring of Ruin, Brooch of the Great Desert

    Liche Priest
    -Opal Amulet, Casket of Souls

I find that although our magic phase is kick but, so are other people and we need some help with that. Hence the Dispel Scroll. I also think that sometimes we need just one more incantation going off because, well, sometimes it's just needed. Hence the Jar.

    What do you guys do?

Something I've been tooling with and would love some thought on is whether or not to use the plaques with the HLP or just a regular LP. In my experience, the HLP with plaques doesn't really need them as much as the LP. A low roll for the HLP is still gonna be decent and since he has two incantations anyway, having the first dispelled doesn't matter quite as much. On the other hand, you can make one regular LP's incantations count big time with the plaques. I typically use the Hieratic Jar when I bring an HLP and I see that's the way you're going.

Also, what's the difference in points for you? What makes this change better for you?

For me the point change is even. I just think this setup is better: more magic protection, about the same save for the King with S6 and better for higher strength, and a "Surprise" incantation for whenever I need it. I think it's just a more efficient use of points.
