How many Liche priests is recommended for a 2000 point battle? Note: I am not planning to use a High Liche Priest.
If you go dual Kings I'd say 2-3 with a casket. I would also highly recommend a HLP
hope this helps

go for either 1 HLP, 1 King, and 2 LP, or if you dont want a HLP, go 2 Kings, 2 LP, and casket if you want. But a HLP plus a casket and the dispel staff gives a +5 difference in dispel amount. and dispel is where we can shine. 2 dispel scrolls are avaliable for us, so use them.
I think king, prince and two priests works.
The prince is more fighty and can still do both smite and urgency. I never summons (almost never anyways) and I certainly never vengence.

At 2200, I run 1 TK, one HLP, one LP on casket, and one TP. A hatted king could be a decent substitute for the HLP... If you aren't taking a HLP, I'd say minimum two LPs, and put the non-heiro on a casket. If you have a HLP and two LPs, you probably don't need the casket...

I run 2 kings (one with a fancy magical hat the other with my mighty king set up =P) and a pair of liches.
There pants this edition tho there no where near as good as kings of princes for the points really. Everyone can disple our spells on 1D6 if they really want to so why pay the points for a slightly more powerful incatation when u can have more at lower always sucseed AND get a fighty character =D
So ya quantity rather than quality is what TK should work for now in the magic phase.
