I for one am pretty happy with all this. How about you fella's?
Where did these pics come from before they hit warseer? The new stuff looks fantastic! GW is pumping out unbelievable models these days. Looking forward to more info on these guys.
nothing like inter species cooperation!
i heard the blades on the necrosphinx ( the giant awesome one) get heroic killing blow. Delicious.
Hmmm....the stalkers look nice, the knights look like shit, not fond of the new TG, but I like the idea of them getting halberds (the 5+/6++ save they have now isn't worth much, so dropping that to just a 6+ for LA and getting a two handed weapon is nice, although I'd prefer that it was a great weapon since they already almost always strike last), the sphinx with no rider(s) is nice, not a fan of the battlewagon version. I'd take a riderless one with heroic killing blow in a heartbeat, though, if only to hunt down and murder those accursed hydras...(I had a pair of them virtually table me whilst the rest of my list was happily munching on the rest of the DE list in question).
Hmm...I think, based solely on the appearance of these miniatures, I may take a rare sphinx, dropping my SSC, and may take stalkers in place of scorpions (Um, ICFB with a unit that appears to have, based on coming three models to a box, actual staying power?). Depending on the rumors regarding how our magic may change, I would probably also drop the casket to make points for these new models.
I assume the stalkers' gaze attack is probably very very similar to the current light of death, making it fit only for the ranged destruction of enemy warmachines and other small units far from the protection of the general...? Even with good results, say, a result of 10 versus LD6, four models from a ranked unit is peanuts compared to what the stalkers would probably achieve in melee, so I see it as being of limited use, at best. I'm more excited at the idea that they could provide significant melee power in combination with ICFB, as opposed to the scorpion which makes a decent suicide assassin of enemy mages (even ones embedded in units) and warmachine hunter. Even a unit of ten enemy shooters (5x2) isn't particularly easy for a scorpion to take down solo (I just had a DE RCB unit of 5x2 hold one of my scorpions off long enough for a second unit to come along and crumble it out with static CR (rear charge plus a rank=crumble). I don't see that happening with stalkers. Even at 2 attacks a model and 2 wounds a model, they'd do better than scorpions in units of 3 or more (I'm guessing 2 attacks and 3 wounds)

I wonder if all of are old models will remain and if they'll be tweaked. Maybe scorpions forming skirmishing units?

I think my Lahmian VC's might just become a counts as 'Grand Army of Lahmia'... Shouldn't be too hard to do, and I'll even have actual choices to make in an army list for once!
Holy crap these models look awesome! Can't wait for them to come out!
So if TG now just have halberds and no GWs.... And if Temple Guard have Halberds... Temple Guard get to house a big beastie.... What if TG get awesome rules/are there for holding some big King/Priest/Something better?

i've heard our magic will now use power dice..anybody know if there is truth to this, and what it means for the casket?
the casket still exists and works in a similar fashion to what it does atm, as for using power dice i genuinely have no idea.
I wouldn't be surprised if we do but not in the way magic for other races does e.g. we might pick an incantation and a power dice decides how potent it is compared to whether it actually works or not.
