Hey guys, I've been away for a while (due to a move to a new city and few WFB gamers), but have got back into it again with the new Army Book. Everything I've been reading has so far been really promissing, but I have one MAJOR concern:
The ONLY way to heal characters is by using Blade of Antarhak. Even Arkhan's sword does nothing for himself. Is there something I'm overlooking? Pg 28 states that a char cannot be healed unless the spell or item specifically states it in its rules. The BoA is the only item in the book that states it.
Am I missing something, or are we forced to spend 45-50pts of each character's magic items in buying ward saves and armour (as we only have light armour as a choice)???
To also note, the standard bearers within units cannot be resurrected, which currently leaves me "iffy" about taking full commands ...
I think it's worth it. If you loose the Standard Bearers. You are proboly going to loose the unit anyway.

Well at least we can still have variety with our Tomb King:
"Is your King equiped with Armour of Destiny of Talisman of Protection this game?"
i have a quarry, in the army book under the bit about about healing, it says that the first one to heal are the command group then the multi wound rank and file including command figures. now does this mean our lords and heroes?
I think the section on standards is only when there are only the three command models left. In the BRB it says that someone else picks up the standard/drum etc, and i dont see why we cannot do the same. If you are down to the last few models then fine: the standard cannot come back. But to lose it to something like purple sun or the like, when the rest of the unit is unscathed? I dont buy that.
It was an argument at my last game. He Bad moon'd my tomb guard unit. the wording says each model, so I got convinced by him that each of the command group took a wound, then by the wording in my book i could not bring back the standard bearer. I realise i was wrong to listen to him now. Best just to ignore me...
