just a Question.. but are people running them 4x10 for horde? .. or like 6x7 ish for more ranks for steadfast when losing units?
We can only deny steadfast. Use as many ranks as you neeed for the combat. Get more ranks than them to deny them steadfast, and negate the rank bonus, but only go for the extra attacks once that is covered. Skellies are for holding units, not destroying them.
oh ok .. good to know.. i have yet to play a game yet in 8th .. so even if we have more ranks . we still roll with all modif. to lose more wounds?
...besides...40 is about the max that most other armies can afford to deploy in one single block of troops...meaning that you need to go higher, like 50 or 60...which, at 4 points per model, you can easilly afford!

More to the point, those 40-60 guys are probably going to stick around with Restless Dead, especially after a boosted Protection.
