Welcome to Librarium Online!
Lately i have been bumping into 2 questions concerning Bsb's. Hoping you cna help me answer them!
First, can he be your army general? In an army which contains something like one liche priest and one herald, can the herald be the bsb and the general? Other army books state quite clearly that the bsb cant be the general, but the tomb kings dont seem to mention that. One thing that is to consider with this is the bsb part in the main rulebook that says that bsb's can never be generals, unless stated otherwise. Confused!
And lastly, how do the equipement work? Could i give him a handwpn shield combination or does the banner take up a hand in CC? Nothing in the main book says anything about this, nor does any armybook. If you can't give him a shield or anything it really screwes him up, IMHO, and when you can give him something in his offhand he might be worth my while,, but all this is ofcourse open to debate. Hope to hear something form you guys soon!
I hope this answers you questions.
Warhammer Armies: High Elves, Tomb Kings, Daemons of Chaos
Warhammer 40k Armies: Chaos Daemons
Bloodbowl Teams: Mean Machine (Dwarves)
The only book I know of that can have a BSB as your General are Lizardmen. IIRC, Slaan can carry the Standard for whatever reason, but I could be wrong.
40k: Silver Angels of Our Martyred Lady 7/2/3 - Daemons of the Great Squiggle! 3/1/0
Fantasy: Windhost of Athel'Loren 2/0/0 - Daemons of Another Great Squiggle! 0/0/0
Warmahordes: Legion of Everblight (Absylonia)
Actually, I think the blueskins' book says that if you take a slaan, he MUST serve as both general and BSB...

Thanks for the reply, my questions have been more then answered. I will be running a nice block of 50 skellies with a bsb wearing a Dragon helm and shield with handwpn, giving the skellies a nice boost due to a CC character and a standard. Crumble wil also be less due to minus one given by the bsb. Thanks!
