Welcome to Librarium Online!
I just finished putting together 20 Tomb Guard (Still need to snag another 10 at some point) and am wondering if anyone has any tips on painting them? There is a great deal of detail on them and I want them to look fantastic and unfortunately I'm not the worlds greatest painter
hey Jarlil !
I don't know about you but I love the way old Tomb Guards looked , when the new book dropped and the models did , my jaw nearly dropped when Inoticed that they are just skellies with fans on their head !
Anywayz , withoutgetting into rants , I would suggest visting a site called cool mini or not, I always get some nice inspirations from there as the minature work that some peopel put out on it is fabulous. I actualy went in and searched for "Tomb Guard" on there and there were some neat results.
Ultimately , its your choice on picking the scheme that you paint it , I use a good thumb rule " if I see anything in the GW book , I ain't painting it like that " because ultimately its your army and you want it to be personal , of course not highligter green or yellow but explore the color wheel , possibly go as far as going to a library and checking out an old Egyptian book to see some prominent colors , most importantly have fun with it !
Just my two copper !
