So, it's no surprise that Lore of Shadows is the bane of TK armies. That being said, how would you guys deal with a High Elf player who uses a level 4 archmage with Book of Hoeth and Lore of Shadows? Basically, He will just throw 5 or 6 power dice at pit of shades every turn and irresistible force the Pit before it can be dispelled, and as we all know the Pit rapes everything in our army. How would you guys tackle this dilemma outside of prayer?
I'd like to know this as well. Maybe shove a necrosphinx down his mages throat so it cant cast?
If something is being a problem.. remove the problem...
Yeah, they tend to pit my necrosphinx, but for various reasons, that keeps them busy for half the game, which I consider a victory. Also, archers are T3 and naked, perfect for bowfire. You could have chariots race around the flank and tag them. Then there's the casket, and/or skullapult. If all else fails, you shove a hundred skellies forward and grind his army to bits though attrition. I haven't yet met an HE player who's eager to get down and dirty with multiple blocks of fifty WS5 skellies...
There are 2 interesting options I find that have worked...
1. A lore of death level 2 priest on a steed to snipe characters.
2 a feedback scroll works quite well too and makes your opponent rethink throwing too many dice at a spell.
Just some ideas for you. Hope they help.
There is nothing more annoying when your Wyches with Plasma Grenades get "Always strikes First" for their combat drugs!
