Does the caket of souls work on people immune to psychology I know that it doesn't say anything about that but my mate collects vampire counts and the casket is quite similar to the banshee cry. I am pretty sure it does work but to clear things up could anyone clarify? thanks.

In the end there is only war.

According to the book, the test has to be taken. It says nothing about immunities. So if that is the case: GOODBYE SKELETONS!

The effects of the casket may seem similar to the banshee howl, but do not compare them for rules. Get the rules for the casket from the TK book and the rules for the banshee from the VC book.

The banshee rule specifically states if you are immune to psychology it does not effect you, but the Casket rules do not. Therefore being immune to psychology doesn't offer protection against the casket, but it does against the banshee.

oh it is the ANSWER!! hehe

I was thinking that I dont think it really matters how stubborn you are against the perils of personal safety, it doesnt really affect if you can avert your eyes in time to avoid getting your soul sucked into a box

The only thing that can prevent the casket from wiping out an army is dispelling it. The magic of the casket can be dispelled wiht the dispel dice and scroll. Though its a one turn reprive and you get to cast off your other incantations with your oppenent saving up dice to stopt he casket

unless you have specifically saved dice to dispel the casket, it gets to go every turn, as it always cast last in the TK magic phase

There is are several reasons the Casket affects everyone and the Banshee doesn't, (that I can see). Firstly, a Banshee scream Frighttens the oppoenet (fluff-wise), while the casket just sucks out your soul. It costs more (reason 2) and, unlike a banshee howl, it can be dispelled (another big difference). I love caskets, the fear factor is great!!! My mate always saves dice against them, and incantations rip him apart!
