what do people think of them and what are their strengths and weaknesses?
I Really Love Their swords, do they count as killing blow or something? and can they get heavy armour?

Sorry, can't give you their rules, look in the army book for what equipment and special abilities they can have.
I have read that they are a bad choice and so I haven't used them yet. The main use of them seems to be hold enemies in combat while you flank them, since they don't really compare to the special troops of other armies. Since this is also the main use of the cheaper skeletons, might as well take them. TG also take a special slot, which is hard to do when scorpions and ushabti could be in those slots and probably would be more useful.
tomb guard kick ass, there one of the only units in the tk list that can win a fight with out support, strength and toughness 4 kicks ass
theyre extremely strong if you support them with a tomb priest, but like the rest of the tomb kings army theyre best used in conjunction with another unit

My tomb guard had tough luck, they lost 2nd round of combat with 16-1. That was the reason the dude had a Minor Victory, instead of me having one (I would have killed his main unit containing wizard and general with a little more luck with the dice)
I love my Tomb Guard... in fact, I love all of the Tomb Kings special choices, I think we have the best choices from all of the lists in the game to be quite honest. And the fact that you can re-animate them is awesome.
If they had heavy armour (like grave guard do) they would be included in every one of my lists I think... even though heavy armour is a little unfluffy, I think guardians of a tomb would be able to bear the discomfort and wear the best armour available.
The iron crowned is getting closer,
Swings his hammer down on him,
Like a thunderstorm he's crushing,
Down the Noldor's proudest king.
Under my foot, so hopeless it seems.
You've troubled my day, now feel the pain.
