Bone Giants 'does anybody like them?'

Well the question was in the title. I've only ever read criticism about these massive fella's. I think that they're great. I'm definately using one from 1500 pts up and hopefully 2 in 2500. So, why is it they arn't in anyone's lists. It isn't as though the models are rubbish. :hmm:

They're alright, I've used them a couple of times. They can be very powerful if used properly.

I just prefer SSC's, they take preference for me. Oh and of course the casket.

I don't like the casket as in many situation it just won't help at all. I will probably take the SSC in 3000 pts but not before I have 2 bone giants at my ruthless (ahem, tactical) disposal. BTW, does anyone have a 'construct army.' I just wondered if anyone had had any great success with such a list in battles.

It's the least useful of the rare choices, for defensive armies (naturally).
Caskets are wonderful, since they deprive the enemy of 3 dispell dice, and weaken their casting. Catapults complement caskets, since they give the priest on the casket something to do.

The only time I've ever used a bone giant was when I was proxying settra. They worked nicely in that army, since the whole thing was very assault oriented.

What about the alternate Bone Giants with Weapon Options?
Use Light, Beasts, Metal instead of Heavens
NecroLords: Use at least one Death Mage
    Brets: Use Peasants&Damsels
    Skaven: Don't use Skryre SAD

I don't think that dogs of war suit the undead. They're not the negotiating type are they?!?

And dogs of war are so vulnerable without our protecting magic....
