alright. i bought the army book today, and i've never played a game of warhammer in my life. i've been painting for quite a while now, and i figured i'd get in on another part of the hobby. i love the ushabti model so i want my army to be based around a unit of them. what all do you folks think i should buy , and in what order to get to a 1500 point army list. i dont have any TK miniatures... so ground zero is best. thanks.
if you like ushabti, you should check out the army of qatar.
i find that chariots are a key strength of TK, and would definitely get some of those.
Unfortunately, in 1.5k, you can't have a King, and that makes the chariots a special choice, instead of core. So you'll soon find yourself running low on special slots, cuz Tomb Scorpions are another "must have" unit for TK. Good luck!
General and Heirophant is the first step. Then some core units, a bunch of skeletons, and chariots are indeed very good.
TK tend to play a lot differently in smaller games than larger ones, they are better and easier to use in 2k+. You should aim for a 2k army as soon as possible, and they are better at 1k than 1.5k so maybe start with that level.
