Hi guys, I'm wondering if you could help me out.
My friend has to play a game in my club's campaign next month, and he is using TK. He will be allowed 650 points, attacking a town, and his opponent will be using 500 points of Lizardmen, defending the town.
I was wondering what units would be good for him to use; that I can suggest. I know his opponent likes magic, and takes a Skink Priest (or sometimes a Scar Veteran). He uses a number of Skinks, some Terradons and Saurus. What he will use in this battle however, I do not know.
My friend has a lot of units available:
- 3 Carrion
- 2 Tomb Scorpions
- Units of infantry (Spears or bows)
- Both light and heavy cavalry
- 3 Chariots
- Neccessary heroes
What units do you think he should take? I was thinking mounted light horsemen to tackle his Skirmish line, and some Scorpions to attack him from behind when he is defending. I was thinking Chariots could tackle Saurus, although these would be quite expensive in such a small game. Basically, a lot of Speed in a Cloak of Dunes Hierophant, Chariots, Cavalry and beasts!
Please help! ^_^
Dont really see the point in archers (as they are attacking) but maybe a screaming skulls catapult could decimate the saurus units in the early turns. What are the special rules for this scenario or is it a "kill everyone" mission or do the TK have to break through the lizardmen lines. If its the latter then take a few big units of skellies, and then some chariots to charge in the fank and break through the line.

I'm not sure on the scenario. Most likely bet will be Annihilation, some sort of objective based mission (i.e: Take & Hold) or VP after 6 turns.
use the carrion for mage hunting suported by 1 scorpion,
2 units of bowmen to fill the rest of the points as TK spearmen are near useless,
heavy cavalry could be useful same for light cavalry if they are used in the right way,
keep a unit of skelies near to the hierophant to protect him
