So what is the character/unit that you really remember killing for some reason or another?
For me it happened today. Was playing a 1500 point game vs. a Hordes of Chaos (all mortal) Khorne list. I charged a unit of 2x6 Knorne Chaos Warriors with a unit of 11 Skele Warriors with HW&Shield. It was turn 5 and i figured I'd let the skeles keep his unit away from my nearby priest. I scored 3 hits on my round of combat, killing 2 . He scored 4 hits back on me at S4 and I made 3 or my 4 armor saves at 5+ (go skeles ). He failed his leadership test and unforntunately for him...fled into the impassible terrian (I think it was a giant sphynx) behind him. The skeles earned about 2.5 times their cost in VP. Everyone watching was sorta amazed that a unit of Khorne Chaos Warriors died to lowly Skele Warriors, it was great!
In one game vs Brets, I charged my flying Tomb King into the flank of a Grail Knight unit. This is the king with the Spear of Antarhak and Scorpion Armor. Expecting just to hold down the unit for the rest of the game, my king commenced to wipe them out in only four combat rounds.
In a game against Chaos, I was in a 'Mexican standoff' between chosen four Chaos Knights and a unit of three chariots. Determined to make things interesting (since I was decimating the rest of the chaos army on the other side of the battlefield) I charged the knights, expecting all my attacks to bounce off their armor and then be subsequently handled. Instead, I killed three of the four knights with impact hits, and then the fourth with a str 3 skeleton attack.
Finally, in a game against Wood Elves I fired my SSC at a unit of Eternal Guard who contain a BSB (which grants a nearby Treeman ancient a re-roll on break checks with Ld 10). Instead, my shot scatters directly onto said treeman and kills him outright in one shot! (Normally I couldn't have targetted the treeman as he was sitting in a forrest which he uses to 'surf' into my lines using treesing.)
I never believe the boasts of my foe, believing in victory goes a long way to assure it.
In a game vs. High Elves, my opponent claimed that my doom was to be the Dragon princes he set against me. Others who had gone before me had told me how strong they were. Well, I charged them with 4 Chariots, got 12 impact hits, wounded with 11 and he proceded to fail maybe six armor saves with a string, a long string, of one's. The champion fled, was overrun and that was that.
In the next game against the Elves i reached the Dragon Princes in there own endzone again. This time a group of Chariots crushed a unit of great swords and overran into a unit of Silver Helms which also were trampled into the dust and than proceded to butcher the Dragon princes, a little slower than the last time but still....
i guess what made it memorable is what a rotten sport the general is. Always arguing over rules and questioning every move....
maybe I am too cruel?
than there was the time my Bone giant "unstoppable assualt"ed a unit of 20 some black orks into last tuesday.
a scorpian "killing blow"ing an empire priest...
maybe my TK's just like to kill...
My most memorable kill will have to be my Tomb scorpion popping up in front of Teclis, wounding him once. I lost one wound back, but outnumbered him and ran over hom as he fled
most merable fight was my last game
it was against the new empire 1500points
the game started by my casket killing my opponents cannon crew killing all but 1 of the mortor crew, and persued to wound ever unit except a steam tank and mounted crosbow men because they were facing away i may have lost but only because of the steamtank.
another memorable fight was my prince vs 4 knights and the general my general killed 2 knights first round of the fight and went down to one wound, the secod round my prince died but thecurse wiped out the rest of the unit including the general:shifty:
theres also my very first game i played 1000points against VC my 3 ushabti went straight through my opponents army killing every unit in 1 round of combat i rolled very high through all of that game for them at least my 2 units of skelies did nothing all game just walked forward at the comand of my prince and priest its memerable because it was my first game and i won it with only using 1 unit
My top 3 most memerable kills would be:
1. Killing a Dark elf Lord and his Manticore in one round of bow fire.
2. Killing a Orge Tyrant with the staff of ravening when he was at full wounds.
3. Killing an orge hunter with four attacks from a chariot.
this is on the other side of things as i have yet to get my TK army but a bone giant charged a unit of wardancers with noble. The bone giant cuased only 2 wounds even with his unstoppable assault . M wardancers then caused a bunch of wounds to it and because of combaat resolution i killed it:yes: .
Yesterday during the final game in a tourny vs a chaos tzench army that consisted of 3 chariots dragon + lord (3+ ward vs shooting) a unit of horros, 4 flamers & a spawn + 2 mages.
Somtime around turn 2 2 of my scorpions came up near his dragon another was in range, i charged him with 3 scorpions on his dragon. thats 12 attacks with kiling blow & pioson, i targeted all 12 attacks on his lord needless to say i got that killing blow lol it was just awsome seeing the look on his face as he started to realise that his 900 point dragon unit was gonna bee eaten alive by 3 85 point each unit thats less than 1/3 of his point cost. the dragon held after the lord got eaten by my skorpions only to face another 12 attacks in the following turn needless to say he lost teh combat by 5 or somthing and ran right out of the table. Ill remember that combat for some time i think hehehe as will he
alright ive yet to win a game....ya.....but technically ive won one just jasnt been finished. But anyways this is what every tomb kings player wants to happen. Unburrow two of my swarms on second turn. Both charge one to hold up a group of spearmen(high elves) and the other towards the bolt thrower. The people at the bolt thrower flee, next turn atk the second bolt thrower, they flee. Just popped up and said hi, too bad they couldnt stay. Anyways that most definitly helped the game for me. YAY SWARM!
best moment for me was against a pesky empire gunline army, who had decimated most of my army before i could get near them and brought my main chariot unit with the tomb king, down to just the king with one wound left on his chariot.
The tomb king Charges empire general sitting pretty with runefang in a unit of greatswords. I get 3 impact hits, kill with all of them, the horses get one kill, and the tomb kings spear of antarak eats the General, restoring the king to full health.
Greatswords lose combat and flee, get run down, but not before panicking 2 cannons and a hellblaster which were lurking behing on a hill.
turned a massacre against into a draw...
