I played a game against an especially cocky Wood Elf Player tonight. I only drew becuase of A large, vaguely tree shaped entity which those pointy eared arses call tree-men. It did not help that my Catapult destroyed itself in the first turn that the shot landed on target. However, this got me thinking about a much bigger Khemrian problem; big monsters. Dragons, Giants, Treemen etc- Is is me or are we one of the worst equiped armies to deal with them. Even our S6 Ushabti are hitting or 4's and wounding on 4's most of the time, and apart from an inaccurate catapult our shooting is useless against them. Maybe I am missing a trick??
well im a crappy player so my info may be way off but i would agree with you. Basically in my mind you would need to get some ushabti in there and a leader on a chariot or something to do well.
Catapult, Bone Giant, Ushabiti, Tomb King w/ Great Weapon, poison are the best ways to deal w/ high T models. Combat rez works too.
flail of skulls is your best bet i reckon, an you can get the jump on them if your careful with magic.
I think this is less of a problem with Khemri as they don't usually need to worry about his leadership. The problem would arise if your opponent managed to kill the King and get the 100VP bonus.Originally Posted by willadams33
Would it not be possible to simply tarpit the bugger? It's not like the skellies are going to run away or anything, and you can keep putting them back together as fast as he takes them apart.
... only triumph could turn pooing his pants into a good thing..
I find that a TP/TK in a chariot owns almost anything just as Daniel said. I've been playing a 3k point with three of my friends. My one friend and i are taking on the High elves. I basically just charged a unit of spearmen and took out around eight guys with that unit and a TP(great weapon). I mean if you changed that to a TK and some flails, add in a banner for the +1hit, it'll be game over period.
