Ok so, Tk have great options when putting together quick and aggresive forces, but also have great defensive options such as Tomb Swarms, SSC and Tomb Guard. However i was wondering how many of TK on LO play Offensively and how many play Defensivley, or a mix of the two with blocks of infantry and flankers.

I personally dont play TK, but ive seen many armies do round about the same thing. Use the fast cavalry to take out small units with range, and a solid block or two of infantry with charachters to take out the rest. Id say that offensive works a lot beter than defensive, as it usually does for most armies.

Tombs swarms, Tomb Guard and the SSC can all be used extremely offensively also.
Perhaps TG to a lesser exent, but ICFB + SSC softening units can be aggressive. As well as using the swarms to tie up those nasty units. ie. lords on dragons. let them wade through 20 wounds, while being hit by poisoned attacks.
I think that most armies would have a balance of the two. With a couple of big, defensive CR blocks of skellies, with some more offensive chariots/scorps. Allowing for the army to react better to alternative threats.
But thats just my opinion.
Defensive, hold back whilst pummling the enemy with a SSC, and hoping the casket comes off once or twice. large blocks of bow armed skellies to thin enemy ranks, and act as sponges when they arive, and ushabti and chariots for damage. scorpions assault the enemy lines if necessary.
I would like to quickly say thankyou to all who have replied so far as this is my first thread. I shall be posting my 2k Army List soon that will probably need some tweaking, seeming that gaming is fairly new to me, as i used to be more focused on painting.

It depends, with a Tomb King as my Lord choice in 2k I go more offensive. With a LHP I like to play more defensive. But I usually run balanced lists, so I can usually go either way depending on my opponent.
I use a balanced list excpet slightly chariot heavy, and run it offensively for the most part except for SSC which stays back and shoots. Occasionally take the casket as well, the rest of the army surges forward though.
Definetely defensive. SSC shooting at enemy, boosted by HLP and two Liches. Blocks of infantry waiting for enemy charge, light cavalry waiting, eager to flank charge to take ranks away or to sacrifice itself for charge redirecting, scorpions coming from below to hunt some enemy mages.
Recently I've exchanged Scorpion for Tomb Guard which was a good choice, and I'm planning to exchange another one for 3 Carrions, leaving me with 2, dunno if that's good choice too, will see.
And the ground did tremble, as the king marched to war...
I'd say you need 5 carrion not 3.
