Nid allies?

Im playing in a friendly campaign where fluff appropriate allies can be taken.

Most of the imperium can ally interchangably, Tau can take some guard, Chaos and Daemon.


What allies could Nid take?

Not true, that is if your going off the rules. Nids hate everyone else apparently...

I would have thought the nids could ally with anyone who could disrupt their synapse network, so that would be eldar, chaos, deamons and necrons? i would also imagine they could ally with orks out of circumstance. the orks ignoring the nids because they were fighting someone else first and the nids ingnoing the orks because mushrooms dont taste too good.

Only "Ally" of the nids i can even remotely imagine would be the 'Crons because they lack the organic matter needed by the Great Devourer (with possible exception of Pariah)

According to Apoc rules the Tyranids cannot ally with: Imperium, Eldar, and Tau. So that means we can with, Chaos, Deldar, and Necrons. I'm not 100% sure on where the Orks fit, but I believe you can ally with them.

Im not asking about Apoc rules - Im asking about fluff appropriate rules.


A friend pointed out I could take Kroot as mercs, as that could/would be "fluff" appropriate.
Chaos, Daemon, Dark Eldar and Necrons would not be fluff acceptable.
Remember, not apoc!


Orks are probably not acceptable either, but I could make an argument for it.

Well Fluff wise Kroot and nids hate each others guts so...

But hey here's a good idea, say nids were hungry and met some kroot who were also hungry bang there you go now have fun...

Every race can ally with each other as long as you come up with a reasonable explanation. So come up with a good one and I'm sure you'll do just fine. Now get out there and eat some marines.
