    Tyranid Apocalypse List help needed.

    Alright so i'm considering joining a halloween apocalypse game at my local GW store with my Nids but i've got 0 experience at playing apocalypse games so I dunno what works best for tyranids.

    Can anyone give me the breakdown of which formations I should bring, what to use and all that.

    I'm able to field just about every formation so if someone can break down the pros and cons of them i'd appreciate that as well.

    I also have a question bout the Genestealer Infestation formation, it seems that the whole formation gains the Secret Deployment special rule that the Lictor has.

    So does this mean the whole formation may also assault on the turn it arrives? Or is the Lictor the only one allowed to assault?

    I ask because the lictor is given the ability to assault after deep striking within the secret deployment rule. However it specifically says the Lictor (but this is because Lictors are the ONLY units with this special rule in the codex) so is the ability to assault after deep striking something given by having secret deployment itself ? Or is this a lictor only rule?

    I've personally always been a fan of mycetic assault storm. DSing 'fexes? Sweet. Kraken Tendril Swarm can also be really brutal. Any option that can allow you to simply move part of your army somewhere behind your opponent is stupid good in Apoc games. Finally I like one you don't have up there : shieldwall. Give a group of HT, and TG 2+/FNP, is pretty decent for the points that go into it.

    Far as I know RAW you cannot assault with those units the turn they arrive, but honestly this is Apoc. Talk it over with your group, you can always make a case for it from a RAI perspective, and ridiculous crap lake that is the bread and butter of apocalypse so I say go for it.

    Those are all found in the semi-new book "Apocalypse: Reload" that came out around a year ago I believe. Also included the only CD formations, as well as a number of special options that depended on your army.
