Ht: Carapace Vs. Warp Field

Why take Warp Field on your HT for 25 points when you can increase its armor save to 2+ for 10 points less?

Is it simply because of the extremely rare instance when the psy power keeps you from having your second HT count as a separate species for a brood mutation qualifications?

You see, heres the funny thing about that......Warp field was meant more for the Zoanthrope on which you don't spend any points.......It was only given to the Tyrant as an option, thats in the case that you do not make it your own species.....

Funny, i wish tyranids were a bit more simple.

The only thing simple about Tyranids is the fact that they have one "brain" among millions of bodies......everything rules wise is very confusing, thats why I chose them as an army!!

yes i recently upgraded my army to 1700-1800 pts, i haven counted them properly yet tho, but thats the sumery size (wee carnafex £6).

From what I've calculated, i have about 2,300 points and counting....Thinking about expanding further soon as well.....

i always make mine from the back as you can have more pshycic powers, biomorphs etc. and i take extended carapace from the back as its cheaper.

Yeah I use the back of the book too, but for some reason it doesn't work on the Army builder I have. It won't give me the option for extended carapace on the Tyrant.

The extended carapace only applies to biomorphs, and 4 a HT the stats are lower then usual. So you can only build up your HT to what it would normally be for 10 points more. If u got tyrant guard id use them instead

My HT can be found here. I like him for 169 pts. The 2+ armor save is a must.
