    Why not list them?
It gives you the choice to have either, so why would it only give you one?
    It makes no sense.

I am sorry but, your arguement has dissolved into "they're behind you" - "no they're not"

You have not provided any evidence to the contratry of the understood interpretation. Simply asking the counter-question does not support your belief.

I have made my understanding clear, I am out of this discussion. (Mods, please move this debate to its' own thread to prevent OT discussion)
Nothing to see here, please move along.
    Thank you.

I don't understand what you mean by "they're behind you".
I wasn't asking counter question, I just put the question after the statement for effect.

    And yes, wonderful idea.

I'll just answer the bit about hobby service...

--- It is... Why? That's simple: Hobby service people are just gamers, possibly not even playing the army your question pertains to. They just give an answer they think is correct, and that's it. You can ask the exactly same question multiple times, and get different answers depending on the guy who answers your query and how you've phrased your question. Heck, I've seen service answers which clearly show the answerer wasn't even aware of current FAQ clarifications!

The website FAQ is a conglomeration of knowledge from 'Nid players, giving information as to how it has been and how it could be interpreted when the Codex is not explicitly clear, and much more likely to be correct pertaining to issues regarding the particular army you're asking about.

Most opponents haven't given me any problems with taking both, as long as I pointed the issue out beforehand in the cases where I did take a Tyrant with both AG. Sure, my opponent might never know about any issue even being there if I didn't mention it... But there's a right and wrong way for doing things.

And the bottom line is: As long as we don't have an official FAQ by the Dev team, all we have to go by with is the interpretations of the players. ;Y

This might be a terrible, terrible thing but has the Adrenal Gland issue been officially resolved?

I know it's in the stickied FAQ but that contains no rule reference.

I read the linked GW FAQ that supposedly confirms that you can take both...and didn't find anything referring to Adrenal Glands.

Maybe I'm just an idiot and am not seeing something but can someone please tell me where in the rules it says you can take both?

You cannot take both, they are listed under the same entry in the biomorphs info page, and therefore are the same biomorph.

Sheesh, let's not start this whole debate up again, please? Can't we just give a generic answer, such as -

"No, the issue has not been resolved. Best to talk it over with your opponent before the game starts."

But, they're quite clearly listed as the same biomorph, and you can only take a single biomorph once per creature.
    You cannot take both.

Yet they're clearly listed seperately in each unit entry, and the Tyranid codex clearly marks biomorphs which cannot be taken in tandem with other biomorphs with an asterisk and a sub-entry. The primary example of this is the tail weapon, which would not need such an asterisk entry if tail weapon (scythe) and tail weapon (mace) weren't two seperate but similarly-named biomorphs.

It's clearly better to check with your opponent if you feel it'll be a problem to take both. Most will take a look at your codex, take a look at the entry in question, notice that there is no text saying that you can't take both, and be perfectly ok with it.

But, and this is for the sake of the moderators who don't want this argument to continue, this argument is one that's not really worth having until we get an update to the official Tyranid FAQ that says we can only take one or the other. Until then, the codex does appear to consider AG (I) and AG (WS) as two seperate entries (and therefore two seperate biomorphs), albiet ones with similar names. It's the upgrade list that's important, not the upgrade's description.
