So, I've searched around a bit, and I can't find anything clarifying on how Flesh Hooks work with various kinds of terrain.

Do units with Flesh Hooks have to spend movement to move up vertical terrain? Or do you only count the horizontal movement? If there's a 1" thick wall that's 5" high and I have Flesh Hooks and roll three 1s(Almost never going to happen, but still..), am I on top of the wall, or 1" up the side? Can units even be partially up a sheer surface? If I roll a 2, am I directly on the other side of the wall? And if you have to move vertically up it, do you have to move vertically down as well?

And buildings. Do I follow the Ruins rules and move 3" to go up one floor? Or do I follow whatever the normal rules are for Flesh Hooks?

    From the Errata (http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_...th_Edition.pdf).

The errata changes the second paragraph of the Instinctive Behaviour rule, like so:

(...)and that unit is not Fearless, falling back or already in combat(..)

Therefore, all Fearless tyranids, including Carnifexes, are unaffected by IB.

EDIT: As for Flesh Hooks, I can't find any official word on the matter, but I'd use real distance to check if a tyranid can climb vertically impassable terrain or not. So if I wanted to climb a wall, I'd declare my movement, and roll. Then, I'd measure from the base of my model to wherever I was climbing. If my allowed movement is enough, I'd have been succesful. Otherwise, I'd place the unit as close as my movement allows to the point where I wanted to climb. If there where some sort of steps along the way, those would be valid placements. Otherwise, stay on the ground, and don't consider the model as being half-way up.
Fluff-wise, this represents the unit trying to get up quickly, so as to not be an easy target for too long. If he manages to go fast enough, he'll climb up. Otherwise, it'll decide to stay down and try again later. You do NOT want to be shot at while half-way up, after all.

Aye, you are quite right. I posted that before learning that there even WAS an updated FAQ on the matter. But thanks for posting the link.

Question: Are you only allowed to choose one of Feeder Tendril, Flesh Hooks, or Acid Maw for a unit due to the fact that they are all located at the mouth?

Acid Maw and Feeder Tendrils are both located at the mouth, however Flesh Hooks sometimes come from the thorax. This is clearly shown on page 51 of the Codex. Others, as shown on page 53, it does come from the mouth. You COULD say that Genestealers in particular are like you describe, but I see it mostly as a balancing reason.

    Question:
Under the 5th edition rules blast weapons no longer roll to hit but are placed an enemy within range and then rolled on the scatter dice. How does this affect a Zoanthropes blast warp attack? does he roll to hit or does it scatter like a normal blast weapon?
Sir we have a lock on the Hive tyrant.
NO! SHOOT THAT SPORE MINE! OH GOD, ITS GOING BACKWARDS!
if someone helps you, give them rep.

You only need to roll to hit when using the focussed shot. With the regular blast, you roll for scatter as per blast weapons.

I read about the rule "without numbers" (WoN) but I cant find anything about it in the codex.

I also read that its possible to upgrade the strength and save for gaunts (and others). Where is this described in the codex and what is the point cost / model.

Grateful for any help I could get...
    Thanks

    Good day xform,

Those are all rules from the old codex. They are no longer available in the 5th edition codex.

    Have a nice day,

    Oh, really?!

The forums I read about them in said it was 5th edition codex, but its probably so because its impossible to find in the codex

Thanks for clearing that up for me!
    cheers!
