Rep Power: 105 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Species name: Marauder Tyrant. Bio-weapons: Two pairs of scything talons. Biomorphs: None. Hive mind powers: Warpblast. Total cost: 111 Tactical advise: Marauder Tyrant is made to be cheap and work as bait. It's abilities as a synapse creature and a monstrous creature are good enough so an opponent will not ignore him. However Marauder Tyrant is also cheap enough that it is expendible. The Hive tyrant works better as bait than a typical Baitfex because unlike them it does not cost too much but isn't worth killing as much as the Baitfex. Rush him up as fast as possible to control Gaunts and Hormagaunts. Use the warpblast to shoot anything it will assault when close enough to assault. Marauder Tyrant works well against armies that have very poor close combat abilities such as Tau, as they find him hard to deal with in assault. Good for keeping points down. Extra notes: Marauder Tyrant works well with one or more Tyrant guard to maximise how long it will last running about. Do not expect it too survive, only cause more problems for your opponent that it's points cost would indicate.

Good Tyrant, and the model is superb. Just a thought: why give it Warp Blast? If he's CC he wants to be running, so I'd rather give him Toxin Sacs (+1 S) and Flesh Hooks instead. The extra strength means you wound MEQs on 2+ instead of 3+, and have a higher chance of hurting a vehicle. The hooks make sure you get to hit first.

Rep Power: 105 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Species: Hive Tyrant. Species name: Scorpion Tyrant. Bio-weapons: Two pairs of scything talons, (claws count as scything talons). Biomorphs: Acid maw, adrenal glands (WS/I), extended carapace, flesh hooks, implant attack, toxin sacs, toxic miasma. Hive mind powers: Warpblast. Total cost: 199 Tactical advise: This Hive tyrant works by trying to dominate the assault phase and/or by leading an attack. It can be used to destroy powerful enemies like Daemon princes, Dreadnoughts and Marine Captains. It is not best against weak hand to hand enemies (Imperial Guard/Tau) as many of it's abilities will be wasted on them. It works in a similar way to a Zoanthrope which is powerful in assault and Zoanthropes will work well with it. It can use it's warpblast on the best targets after it has run up to the enemy and then assault. It works well to support Genestealers using Gaunts as cover and the Tyrant can control both the Gaunts while aiding the Genestealers in assault. It is best used only if you want to inflict lots of damage at close range. Tyrant Guard will enable it to get close more easily. Extra notes:Scorpion Tyrant can provide a good partner to a winged Dakka Tyrant as Scorpion Tyrant can inflict damge in assault where the Dakka Tyrant is not so powerful.

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Species: carnifex Species name: bomba-fex Bioweapons: combination of Barbed stranglers and deathspitters (two barbed stranglers would be nice Biomorphs: regenerate, reinforced chitin, extnded carapace, bonded exoskeleton Total Cost: 210 Tactical Advise: good against swarms and takes out independed characters with T 4 easy, and there is a good chance that you stun or even destroy tanks with it. Extra Notes: sometimes it's hard to earn the points of this creature back, but it is fine for a good back-up |

not just one, but more of a tri-fecta of twins for lots of hurtiness w/o a lot of points. 2x carnifex- 2x scything talons, WS-AG, toxic miasma 113 each, (uses the ancient models that look somewhat less threatening as these ones have the furthest to go. I like old unassuming models) 2X dakkafexes- 2x TL devourers, enhances senses, 113 each, (you've all seen this one before) 2X sniperfexes- venom cannon, barbed strangles, enhanced senses, if you have extra points you can use defensive upgrades, but as is... 148 each, (obvious usage) that 6 fexes for 748 points, all legal with normal force org, and in a 2k+game, plenty of points for HQ's and troops just watch your opponent crap themselves at the sight of 8 MC's hitting the board opposite them. |

Rep Power: 17 ![]() | Species:Carnifex Name:Goliath Artillery Carnifex Bioweapons:Twinlinked Deathspitters,Barbed Strangler Must have Biomorphs:Enhanced Senses Optional Biomorphs: Extended Carapace and etc.(defensive upgrades) Cost:128 pts base Tactical advice:This would be a carnifex suited to taking out groups of weak infantry. I suggest resolving the Barbed Strangler blast first then use the deathspitter to target any small pockets of people left. Personally I wish the Death spitter didn't have to be twinlinked but ho hum. It's true the Deathspitter can't fully utilise the Carnifex'es strength but it does give you a second blast template that woudl be perfect for marking those small pockets of people left in the squad. Also the twinlinked and enhanced senses gives you a better chance of striking on target. Notes:you can take defensive upgrades or not. It just depends on wether you want cheaper or move survivable. I personally always take the Extended carapace. I play a lot of missile heavy marines so...

Rep Power: 105 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Species: Hive Tyrant. Species name: Cyclone Tyrant. Bio-weapons: Two twinlinked devourers. Biomorphs: Enhanced senses, toxin sacs, winged. Hive mind powers: Warpfield. Total cost: 196 Tactical adivise: Cyclone Tyrant is made to behave much like a Space Marine Land speeder in they way it attacks the enemy. This means moving quickly and destroying vunerable targets or boosting the main attack when it is needed. Watchin how a Marine Land speeder behaves will help to give ideas of what to do with Cyclone Tyrant and what not to do. Cyclone Tyrant is much tougher than light vehicles like Land speeders and can assault as well. Plenty of vehicles will be easily destroyed by it in assault if they are not protected. Cyclone Tyrant also has the synapse power so it is also good for command and control. Cyclone Tyrant's ability to bring quick synapse control to broods in need of control must not be overlooked by only focusing on the Tyrant's combat abilities. Extra notes: Cyclone Tyrant is very flexible and can be used against any kind of army quite well.
