Default Scottish Gaming club, Hamilton

As the title suggests, I am a member of a gaming club based in Hamilton, near Glasgow in Scotland. We are always looking for new members, either experienced veterans or folk who have just discovered the hobby and we play most GW games, such as 40k, fantasy and mordheim. The details are:-

Wednesdays from 6.30 - 9.30
In the Laighstonehall Neighborhood Hall, in Highstonehall Road, Hamilton.
~ £1 per night (first night is free)

If anyone is interested just let me know either by posting on here or PMing me and I can answer any questions you may have. Oh by the way, my name is Gregg, I help run the club (I would like to say i completely run it but some of the other guys are bigger than me!!!).

Dont be a stranger,
Cheers

Gregg (aka Zezza)

Ha! I'll be based up in Glasgow after Oct. Could you cope with a curmudgeonly Tau/Dark Eldar player in your ranks? Do you have many, umm, how shall I put this, "veteran" gamers??

Another Dark Eldar player would be a welcome sight in our club! Glad to hear that your gonna be nearby come october. My club has a good mix of experienced gamers and members who are just getting to grips with the rules, however if you were to come along im sure i would be able to sort you out with a game against one of the veteran gamers. Also our 40k campaign will likely have started by then so if you are looking for a challenge then joining it half way through would sure be a trial of fire by anyones standards!

Cheers for showing an interest in our club, keep in touch!

hmm, i'm near glasgow, so i might consider coming,
do most of your players play to win, or play to play?
as i've got some 'winny' armys, & some fun armys

also! which point values are most common for 40k?

also, do you do any specilist games? (necromunda/INQ in particular)

Hey guys, cheers for the interest in my club, some new faces around the place would be great! We usually play 1000 - 1500pt games depending on the player and time involved. A new 40k campaign will be starting in a month or so in order to familiarise ourselves with the new 5th ed rules, but up until that time I should be able to sort you out with a game of fantasy or 40k, or possibly even mordheim (we have just finished a mord campaign so some of the younger players may still want another game or two). In the months following the upcoming 40k campaign a bloodbowl league has been considered, and possibly necromunda too, but this will depend on how many members seem interested at the time.

We have a good mix of competitive players and 'fun' players although even the competitive members still love to have a laugh (sometimes even providing running commentary on thier games!!). There are also a few relatively inexperienced members, so if you are rusty on the rules you will have pl;enty of time to brush up before the 40k campaign starts.

Also dont worry if you have unpainted models, my club isnt strict about wysiwyg or anything, (although I dont like fielding unpainted models myself!!!!) you can even borrow models off other members if you are running low.

Ps. morden if you are gonna be coming on wednesday I can bring my Orks too (I have 2000 points easy - fully painted) so I could loan you models or we could even ally so I can familiarise you with the rules if you wanted, just let me know!

Cheers again!!!

Gregg

Let me know if your club would be interested in an additional discounts of 40k and Urban War products that are on our website ( www.megaminis.co.uk ).

We are based in Glasgow, so should be able to arrange for your stuff to be dropped off at your club in order to avoid postage fees or alternatively for you guys to pick it up from our office.
