I'm deffinatley up for this, 1500 points of world eaters and whatever else I manage to make from my side project...

I would back up the idea of Apocalypse rules, having played numerous games of 3-4000 points per side I can safely say that with 1 player per side it takes roughly 3-4 hours to get through a game (this is with side talking, and we both have excelletn knowledge of the rules and also marine armies). So With more players/people a time limit may have to be implemented, and I dread to think what could happen if a massive Guard side got involved..

expect people to fetch their own books and know their own armiesif you ref, you will find you know 90% of the stuff and you can defer decisions (I dont know the rule for your Malcadore vulkan main guns, so I will look it up in your book, but in the mean time go fire all those lasguns), trick is to keep the game moving

The question marks next to names mean that I don't know if you guys were sure on whether or not you wanted to take a place. Just tell me via PM, or in this topic whether or not you want to fully take the place.

What about subs? Well, not subs exactly, but back up players? Would it be an idea to allow one or two on each side to be allowed to be reserve players in the case of people finding they can't come to the meet at the last minute or what not?

I'd be up for a mega battle this year it will make a alright change to a fantasy one. Ill be using my space marines i guess since i have no chaos or evil 40k armies yet.

From my relatively comprehensive knowledge of Apocalypse games (we have a lot down my local club and GW), I would say that a 12,000pts game (ie: 4x 1500pts per side) should easily be acomplishable in a day, and that a 30 min per turn (ie: roughly 10 mins per phase) limit is a good guide.

It also lets you schedule in breaks etc.

I'd definately be up for joining in, although I am unsure on which side to join...
Black Dragon Marines for loyalists, or Tzeentch Daemons for Chaos (when they come out that is)... Hm.

Also, if you don't need any more players I'd happily help out as an assistant/GM, throwing in extra stuff as and when necessary, and helping out with rules and timings.

I'm currently starting a death guard army, after finishing my 4000pts of Black Templars.

Should give me a nice painting schedule!
Got the book and about 500pts worth the other day! here comes the paint train.

If we play apocalypse we just need to set a time when the game will end, so all in all its probably the best option. I guess in that case the FoC isnt required? excellent! may have to buy that Baneblade...

I think if we play apocolypse then we should set some sort of FOC requirements, somthing like atleast 2 troops and HQ but otherwise anything you want.

That seems fair enough- i dont mind really except I want to bring some unusual choices I cant usually fit into a 'normal' 1500 pt army, like Ogryns- and maybe a chance to use the Grey Knights I painted a while ago
