It's looking significantly like I won't be able to go this year =(
Stupid holiday is getting all moved around at work and it seems unlikely I will be able to hold onto the week I booked.

Hopefully I will know by next week...

Just booked my room at the Waltons Hotel.

Waltons Hotel, Bar & Restaurant, Weddings, Functions - Nottingham

A fair amount dearer than the Gresham, but still a bit cheaper than the Travel Inn.

So, I'll be seeing you all in Notts for the Saturday/Sunday.

Me too, but work is so hectic, I can't make a long weekend of it like normal.

Sounds like a lots of people again though

. The Gresham ought to give you a discount. Have you asked about large party discounts? & advance bookings discounts too?

Might be worth while since travel costs are on the rise etc. and it can't hurt.

I was dissapointed that the Waltons hotel wasnt themed around the TV series, they are missing a ttrick there.

Jon: No, I haven't asked, but thanks for bringing it up. It sounds like it might be a good idea. I'll make a point of asking about it during the meet. I think its probably too late to sort something out now, given how close the meet is, and that its likely it might be a busy weekend anyway. But certainly for next year it will be worth finding out.

I'm also looking at running an LO Weekend Tourney, which would be seperate from the meet weekend, so thanks for idea.

I have booked my room at the Gresham. Or, well, "booked". Turns out there's new people running the show now and to get the room I had originaly planned (single with shower) I would need to pay that deposit, which is somewhat difficult for me since my bank card cannot be used in such ways.

But I am guaranteed a regular single so I'm happy with that.

All booked, Twin En Suite i8n the Gresham for me and my friend Rob (Slipknot here on the forums and chat). I have to spend 2 nights in a room with him. Gods of Chaos help me. =P
