LO Meet 2008 - Hotels

Once again, sorry about the lack of updates to this. My PC died a death a week or so ago, and so I have a new one, and had to wait longer to get online due to needing a router for it x_x
But still, I am back now

This topic is mainly just a list of hotels that you can look at for booking for the weekend. You'll probably find most people will be trying for the Gresham which is nicely placed by the train station and a short walk into the city centre. The walk to WW isn't quick, but its pretty simple.

Also, if you are looking for people to share a room with (Since sharing a twin with someone you know will be cheaper) then you can advertise that in this topic

Please, if you are already sure about or attendence to this years LO Meet please book your hotels ASAP to avoid hassle. Like I have mentioned in the other info threads, Warhammer World is due to be VERY busy that weekend with 3 sepertate tourneys going on as well as our own invasion of the place.

As it stands I only know of one person who has booked a twin room at the Gresham.

I will be booking a twin (Providing theres actually any left) next Friday, so I will am looking for someone to twin up with.

I know Kuffand Rufus have but thats all I'm aware of.

I havent yet, but Im planning on booking at the Gresham this week.

The hotel I stayed in last year was very nice if anyone cant get into the Gresham, unfortunately I cant remember what it was called! it was next door to the castle and the robin hood experience thing- probably a bit more salubrious than the gresham but i was rather isolated from the group so wont be doing that this year.

Cool I'm hoping for the Gresham too but haven't got a lot of money at the minute :/

One thing I will point out to people wishing to get the Gresham, it seems as it they are wanting you to pay for you first night in advance. I think they might have gotten rid of the 10 pound deposit in favor of this, but I'm not sure.
If anyone does book this week can they post what the proceedure is?

Heey guyssss. i havent booked my hotel yet but i thought the gresham was fine last year. Ill proberly get my own room unless anyone wants to share. Just give me plenty of notice tho.

Toastee: i just checked the site it still says the £10 deposit but ill give them a ring to double check.

Yea, that webpage still says that :/
But when Rufus paid for his room they made him pay for one night.

TBH, its isn't that much of an issue as you'd be paying for it anyway, but just need to make people aware of it I think.

I'll probs be getting my room around about the 9th of May.

Im gonna have to get this sorted soon too... hopefully i can wait til after exams to do it, just to keep another thing off my back for a bit. Once theyre out the way i really need to go through my summer and check dates etc lol.

Anyone interested in room sharing??
