'Twas a dire morn when I did venture forth from my homeland of Bridgford upon my noble steed Bianca, a purebred Bicycle from the green fields of Raleigh. My destination, the fell kingdom of Lenton Industrial Estate, and the dread land, of the Warhammerans. Weighted down with a great Luggage, carrying Tomes of Knowledge and Warriors True, I strove towards the GW complex. Upon my arrival, I found myself in the company of heretics, deviants, and oddly people. Being a green Juve, I felt lost and confused. Thankfully, an Adept of greater experience, dubbed Riptor the Lawman, did take me under his wing. After being introduced to the Fell Master, Toastee, and acknowledging his Rightful Presence, myself, the Lawman and one Other did commence into a 3-way orgy of bloodletting. Space Puppy, Tau, and the Chaos Scum known as 'Warp Puppeteers', did pit against each other for several turns, before a fearsome GW Troll did command that we abandon the Table of Gaming. However, much as I did wish to accompany the LO Freaks further, a message did wing towards me through the Ether of the O2 Network. 'Twas the All Father, commanding that I return, lest Dinner become cold. On the Day of Saturn, I did once again voyage to the World of Warhammer. Upon my arrival, I was instantly welcomed with Open Arms by the Toastee, and introduced into a Mega Battle. My Wolves of Space were forced to occupy the only free space, alongside Heretics and Deviant Daemon Worshippers. However, I insisted on being deployed wide on the flank, a far way from the Evil MEqs. My opponents were the Pitiful Imperial Guard, and one full half of an army of Ridiculously non-Wolfish Marines. After a hard-fought battle, where footslogging Wolves did tear across barren, featureless terrain into Imperial Lasgun range, their sheer inability to down an Ionhead almost resulted in their loss of their much coveted Objective. However, help was found in a Weaponless Land Speeder, who, being still Mobile, could contest the third objective. However, thanks to the Valiant Efforts of my fellows, the other 2 Glorious Objectives were Safely (relatively speaking) in Evil hands. For Luncheon, I did voyage with Riptor and his Mate (who's LO name escapes me) to the Great Bury of Sain in order to find Vittels and Victuals that might replenish us. Towards the end of the Evening, I did turn upon my former Ally, the Master of Iron himself, Danjones, and though we were unable to finish our battle, and despite my Victimisation of his Predators, I deemed his Chainsaw of Submission had victoried, and though we both went away Smiling, he could claim the Rite of the Smug. After this, despite being invited to the Pub Crawl that evening, I had to once again return to my Hovel, as I was working for an Evil Newsagent early the next morning, and would require a mind unfuddled by liquor. In the After Noon period, I did once again Enter the Hall of Gaming, and I did Re-Match against Sir Theobold and his Guardsmen, which resulted in the Complete and Utter Destruction of his forces, though he did gain vengeance against the Meddlsome Scouts, who did Annihalate his flank in the Mega-Battle, with Massed Lasguns wiping them from the Playing Board. After this Refreshing Learning Experience for the Lame Knight, we attended Toastee, and his Glorious Raffle. However, 'twas obvious 'twas rigged, for the Dan of the Jones did claim more Prizes than was his writ, and none did wing towards me. After this, and the dispersal of the LOians, I bid my farewells to my new friends, and with heavy tread did cycle towards my Homeland once more. 'Twas a glorious weekend, with much fun had by all, and I look forward to 5th Annual Meet. Many thanks to all who did attend, and to those who insisted I accompany them.

A good right-up there mate, reps for you. Only mistake is, I play my own chaos chapter, not Iron Warriors. I leave the masters of siege to the Warsmith himself to command. =P

*is aghast* many apologies, Sirrah! What is your Chaos warband called, then? that I might rectify this grievious mistake. EDIT: I hadn't realised Vindis were available to all Chaos now, not just the Iron Warriors.

Nice writeup; hopefully I'll be able to be a part of it next time, with the dancing multicoloured baffoons under my command showing everyone how to throw a party. |
