I've decided that I will actually come this time, after saying I will last year and then not bothering.

But I'm bringing only Epic, BFG, Blood Bowl, Inquisitor (I can GM) and LotR. Fantasy & 40k are inferior game systems anyway. There better be some specialist gamers attending goddammit!

You know this means that everyone else that's been trying & failing to book a large number of tables will also be turning up this weekend with the same plan...

Anacron: I used have a Mordheim band, but sadly no more.
Though Arklite and I have BFG forces and Karrot has LotR as far as I'm aware.

I will be attending this year.
Work might take time away from the hobby but it also gives completely different financial possibilies.
Just wondering how I'll get my army through the customs...

I can try and dig out my old Epic IG or Ork army, but I havent played since it was known as 'Epicpace marine'- i'll have a shufti at the new rules.

I've also never played Blood Bowl but always wanted to if you have a spare team and the patience to show me the rules?

Shouldn't be any problems. I just walked into 'Goods' at Copenhagen International Airport and said 'This case contains metal minuatures' and the clerk there pointed me towards another line for other types of goods. Went through without incident(Or well, there was the incident where I flew to Frankfurt, switched plane to Birmingham while my bags where loaded onto the plane to Madrid instead of comming with me but that's another story.).

I can't guarantee I won't take this back when the meet draws closer, but you can write me up as comming. How about us Swedes coordinating our route to Nottingham a bit? It might be more fun to meet up on the way and that way, you'll also have the advantage of being with someone who knows the way. Kinda...

The orginaization-thing sounds like a great idea. How have you planned to go there?
I'm all ears.

If I'm attending, I will be going to Notts with Jon (Franksi) from Birmingham, as always. So I laugh at your plans of organisation!

Well, I live in Varberg, about 40 minutes drive south of Göteborg, so last year I took the train down to Malmö and from there I took another train over the bridge to Denmark and stepped of at Kastrup International Airport.

From there my plan was to fly to Birmingham, but alot of stuff happened and I ended up having to fly down to Frankfurt and from there to Birmingham. Then I sat there in Birmingham for seven hours waiting for my luggage which had been sent off elsewhere for whatever reason. When my luggage eventually arrived, I rode the monorail from the airport to the train station and from there, straight to Nottingham. Leaving Nottingham station I managed to find the hotel after having walked less than 50 meters in a direction I chose randomly. ^^

Incase you're living further north, the flight I was originally planning on taking from Kastrup->Birmingham accually starts out in Arlanda, so getting on there might be more convenient for you.

Though I think it's a bit early to be booking flights and etc already, but my plan for this years meet is to try and retrace my travel route from last year but without any of the misshaps(Like having my luggage on a plane to southern france while as I landed in Birmingham, having to take the long way to Birmingham via Frankfurt or having to spend another night at a hotel in Malmö on my return trip...).

:>

I think Kastrup-Birmingham sounds like a great idea. We could meet up in Malmö, I reckon, as I'll be riding one of the trains that crosses the bridge.
