One year we raised money for DMC to travel from Sweden. I don't think you live that far way do you?

At the moment.........No. Not far at all.

However in 44 days time I will be emmigrating to Australia

so I'll be missing this years meet. I should, hopefully, be attending the 2012 one when I return. Just to warn you.

I applied to emigrate to Australia during the miners strike in '84. When they asked me if I had a criminal record, I said "I didn't realise you still needed one." They didn't let me in. Watch out for the poisonous spiders and snakes, Lord Borak - a Funnel web spider can kill a man from three meters, just by looking at him.

LOL. I just had to repeat that to my Mrs (Who's an aussie). Watch out for my Mrs, she can kill you through your screen

Bummer on not getting in though. I applied online and got my Visa about 3 hours later!! all for about £130ish.

Only joking about the criminal record bit. It was probably my age and lack of experience at the time, plus it must have looked like I was applying BECAUSE of the miners strike. A few of my mates have emigrated since, and they love it. Hope it goes well for you sir, but its a shame you'll miss the meet. Was my first one last year and i had a great time.

Nah, we all still take the piss out of them for being Criminals and convicts. At least I do anyway.

Aye is a shame but hey ho these things happen. I'll try my best to be there for the 2012 one though.
