Please do not post points totals for units without any options. People can work out model costs from them. Many Thanks gingerninja
would it work? the i dea is to use the fast units to hold up any opposing fast units and the ethereal as a shield for my necromancers while the necromancers spawn zombies and generally magic the field.
i havnt tried it in battle yet so it might just not work at all. any ideas for improvement will be greatly appreciated.

Master Necro can't take flayed hauberk. The only armor he can have is the Armor of Bones, or whatever it's called, the one that says it can be taken by a wizard.
Otherwise, honestly, I don't think it will work. Your heroes will die in a heartbeat. There are no infanftry units to bog down the enemy.
Batswarms aren't that great.
You need to start with some zombies and skeletons.
it doesnt say anywhere that flayed hauberk cannot be chosen by master necromancers. it only says cannot be chosen by nechrarch or lahmian vampires
The master necro can take the hauberk but he can't cast spells or generate power dice etc. as it is armour.
The list probably wouldn't work IMHO because of the lack of troops. You've got nop static combat res anywhere in the army. Lvl 2 necro are too vulnerable to be outside units, one eagle or some warhawks or any skirmisher with missile weapons will kill your necros early then you'll be left with one master necro and no ranked up units.
Start with some zombies. I've always found you'll need some combat punch too. Try a wight lord or two and maybe some wights, most of all you need ranks standards and any thing else that can contribute to static combat res.
Arms are an instrument of evil, No measure for thoughtful men until there fail all other choice but sad acceptance of it.

oh ok. thanks for clarifying. im new to the game which is why i asked for you guys thoughts. ill have a look at some of the other army lists to get an idea of what i should be aiming for. thanks again.
This list just won't work well. You have no blocks of troops to hold enemies back and the small units of Dire Wolves will just die from combat res.
Your Necromancers have nowhere to go and will easily be targeted by spells that don't need LoS.
i think that with some tweeks this consept has potential. three points that need to be understood, magic is not to be depended on as a shure fire any thing. thair are so many points at witch a spell can fail to go off, and every army has some sort of magic item that harms the magic phase atleat temperarily. my point is necromancer magic has very good spells but has just as much trubble makeing them stick as any outher army.
secound, this has been stated before lone magic heros are as good as dead the instant thay hit the feald. every thing that can be guning for them will. lots of points for very little work, and in your case a disruption to your all so important magic phase.
the third point is realy just an extraplation of the first and secound. this sort of undead win through the use of fear and outnumbering, forcing extreem courge rolls. if you dont have the numbers to do so its not gona work. magic can work to bost the posibility but it is not garinteed to work by the time the oponints line hits you.
in keeping with the point of the list i would recomend two blocks of fifteen to twenty or so zombies. put two necros in both and place them just under 10in apart on the feild. this way thay can supourt each outher.
to get the points i would drop the bat swarms, i love swarms in most outher armys but in undead thay dont realy fill a needed roll.
i like the idea bhind the list and it would realy through new people for a loop but in the end it might not be the most competitive build.
Sorry, man, this will never work. Just like what everyone else said, you do not have any infantry units. Vampire counts win with combat res, they need big blocks of troops to take out enemy units and wolves/bats to flank. Bat swarms are useless, just get rid of them. You have so many units of dire wolves and fell bats that I don't know what you plan on doing with them all. Half that number would be fine, and save you points so you can buy a couple blocks of 20 or 25 skellies/zombies. I don't care for banshees, but some people love them. I don't know if you need 4 bases worth of spirit hosts, they are expensive, 3 should be enough. Take the staff of damnation for even more bound spells so they will waste their dispel dice, it is even good by itself too, making your units better(marginally) in combat.
Thanks alot for the thoughts everyone. Ill work on another amrylist over the next few days bearing in mind your suggestions and what ive seen on other peoples lists.
