Here's a try at a magic-heavy 500 pts using the new list.
In a single turn, I can raise D3+9 zombies and raise D6 zombies in that unit while raising 2D6 in the skelleton unit (with the vamp), or adding 3D6 to the zombie unit, or adding D6 to the zombie unit and D6 to the skelleton unit. All this while advancing ever closer with the book of arkhan.
the flayed hauberk
lord of the dead
the book of arkhan
invocation of nehek
sceptre de noirot
10 skeleton warriors (+ chars)
total = 500
PD: 6, 1 bound spell
You tell no lie when you say "magic heavy"... especially for 500 pts. Personally I would drop the zombies in favor of more skeletons as a) you can raise zombies like theres no tomorrow (especially with a necro kitted out to just raise squads of zombies. Whats nice is that 20 zombies convert nicely into 10 skeletons.
Just my 2 cents.
This is a seriously sexy list.
You'll most likely dominate anyone magically, however you might run into serious trouble handling tougher opponents due to how combat resolution affects your units.
Zombies are not about to kill anything, due to their low weapon skill and strength the most they do is slow down opponents. The vampire is clearly kitted to kick ass in melee, but ofcourse joining the zombie fight could be bad due to the combat resolution affecting all undead in the melee.
Tossing out the 20 man zombie unit and taking a corpse cart instead might boost your killing power some, you'd have two bound spells and your opponent will be hard pressed to keep up with your hasted zombies of death.
In any case, this list has given me some great ideas.
Consider it yoinked!

Corpse carts don't count towards minimum core choices, so that's not a possibility . I might look into replacing the zombies with more skellies though. I'll be able to raise them beyond their starting level with my vamp anyways
