    2K blood knights

    Trying to find a good build with my beloved blood knight models in 2K games, this is the list I came up with today.
    Everything is quite fast - even the ghouls all start 8" in front of the battleline, putting them at 16" in the first turn since I'll be keeping the flying vampire close for restoring them, or raising more ghouls. Add to this all the support from the dire wolves unit and the fell bats and you've got a dangerous list - at least, that's what I think.

    Personally I think that this is the case of far too many eggs in a basket which can just be baited and march blocked the whole game because it is frenzied. However, I do love the combiniation of dread lance and accursed armour, thats a great combo!

    Apart from the blood knight there is nothing that can really deal serious damage, and a canny opponent will just lead them around the board for the whole game. You need to make sure you can raise sufficient numbers of ghouls, so maybe master of the black arts? I do agree with you that Ghouls are the best core choice now though, good call there.

    I would drop 5 Dire wolves to push the fell bats up to a unit of 5, as they become far far far more useful in a unit that size as they are then Unit Strength 5.

    Agreed about the basket comment. Having played a fair few games with Blood Knights at 2k there's 2 things i've learnt.

    1) You don't need a fighty Lord, the knights pack all the punch.
    2) They need tonnes of magic support - So Vamps with Master of the Black Arts Invocationing them on the way there, and as many Vanhels as you can possibly get as well as to stop enemy magic.

    Thanks for the advice. Should I leave the BSB in the unit, or should I make him a caster as well?

    I've added mannfred in the mix to add a lot of magic to the BK unit. Now I can easily raise zombies where I need them with him, and keeping the vamp on hellsteed closeby to raise even more zombies should it be necessary - effectively making a "racing track barrier" for my BK to move along :rofl. Thoughts and comments are appreciated.
