Well Ive decied to do yet another VC army (some may remember my undead elf army I was making a while back....)
Well I'm stuck(ish) for ideas now so I need some help
before I found the VC army was vey necromancer orientated due to the amount of magic needed in the game
Now, I see its gone very Vampire orientated, but still theres the potential for lots of magic
Ok so here where Im stuck - I've decided to make a list thats isnt 'too' competative and not 'too' fluffy (I'm looking for a happy medium) as I'm fed up with:
A) beging called beardy all of the time
Fed up of my fulffy army going to waste every time 'cus of a VERY bad loosing streak
I'm starting at 1000 points, and want Konrad with 2 Necromancers to lead -- this is what I'm thinking of atm::
Konrad Von Carstein - 1x5
Necromancer - 195
-Extra Necro Spell
-D Scroll, Sceptre de Noirot
Necromancer - 185
-Extra Necro Spell
-Rod of Flammig Death
20 Zombies - 92
20 Zombies - 92
19 Grave Guard - 293
-Banner of Strigoi
TOTAL - 1002
PD - 4 + 3 Bound
DD - 4 + 1 Scroll
As you can see I'm needing some help here

The Inquisition - 38-2-3
Tomb Kings - 1-1-1
Grey Company Elves - 16-1-3
Saurons Force of the Black - 8-1-3
It's better to reign in hell than to serve in heaven
Konrad has like 6 leadership, and stupidity... and a necromancer shoulden't be your general. I suggest dropping one of the necromancers on cart, picking up a level two vampire to be your general (he's even better at magic too) and take less zombies or something to cover the cost difference. I don't have the VC book with me at the moment so I'm unsure about the point costs.
Don't worry about having less zombies, at 1000 points having a necro on cart and a level two vampire is formidable magic and you can just raise more. If they don't let you, Konrad can hit them (along with the vampire that will be within 12 inches oh konrad to help with his stupidity)

EDIT: Just realised that Necromancers have higher LD so one of them will be general.
Other things to note:
1- It's 1002 points. Depending on your local gaming location that could be allowed or could be a big no-no.
2- You have to name what spells your necromancers are taking in the army list.
3- Your going to have to edit the post to make Konrad's cost more hidden
4- You said you didn't want to make it too competative, but I think you've gone too far. You've only got 1 unit that can really do anything (the grave guard with Konrad). Zombies are good for tarpitting but chances are they're not going to win any fights without assisstance (even goblins need 3+/3+ to kill a zombies).
Personally I think how well the army does comes down to how well the Grave Guard do (and in correlation how well the necromancers do at keeping the grave guard up).
Only problem is anyone can see that so the enemy is going to be throwing everything they have at the Grave Guard, especially if Konrad is your general.

2000AD's answer to all "How do VC deal with ..." questions: Forbidden Lore + 2 Power Stones.
Further answers will require more vodka.
Yeah, I'm really not sure you need 2 necromancers on carts. At almost 200 points, dropping one will buy you a fully kitted out vampire. Maybe even a small unit of black knights to do the vital flanking tasks you'll need when going with a tarpit heavy list.
Failing that, a cheap unit of 5 wolves will mean the difference between your zombie units getting ground down by a unit that costs less than they did, and those vital fear assisted autobreaks.
