Well, I have a 500 point tourney on Saturday. It's a winner stays on sort of thing. So my list has to be as versatile as can be. It is a Border Patrol tournament, so:
0-1 Special or Rare
No one model may cost above 125 points
No more than 4 units
So, i have a few lists cooked up.
Now, I'm debating on Dread Knight, or The Flayed Hauberk. Either way it brings him to 125 points. What do we think?
5 Dire Wolves
5 Black Knights OR 5 Dire Wolves and a unit of 10 Dire Wolves
What do we think? I'm having a nightmare deciding on what to take. I'm open to all ideas.
EDIT: This is in the wrong forum. Could a kind mod please Vanhel's it into the Army Lists section? Thanks
I'm going to put in a recomendation for a Wight King over a vampire. I seem to remember Border patrol removes requirements that full lists need, and I think a wight king with his high toughness, more wounds, and more avalability for equipment would be a better choice. Really a barded steed and a sword of kings would probably do you well.
it's been a while since I've read the border patrol rules (and I can't find them), but warband rules let you take a champion for a leader instead of character. That's the only exception I know of.
I would get skeletons smaller and just take the banner of undying legion (double unit size) so you can fit in some more units.
If you could squeeze in some (2)wraiths, they would be really good, very few armies are going to have a way to deal with ethereals, they could also provide some strong attacks that your skeltons and wolves won't be able to provide.
