Here are the rules:
no more then 750 points
1 character that may not cost more then 150pts
At least 2 core choises and you can only take 1 special OR rare slot
I think this is it
Now my list
6 blood knights with
flag of the blood keep (4+ ward save vs missiles)
All ideas are welcome on strategies and the list.
Depending on who you play, you could be facing a lot of small, throwaway units. I'd almost want to put the general with black knights instead of the blood knights so that you don't find yourself being led on a merry chase around the board.
One good thing about the list is that enemy will have to deal with your general and knights because they can't win by killing the zombies. They just won't get enough points.
What would you advise to add in the spare points.
I played a few battles (these where only against a bad dwarf player) and in these battles did the blood knights way more.
I'd go as ghoul possibly in a small list like this, cheap and effective. And then, i'd go for a vamp with them, summon, dark acolyte. I use one like that but with 2 dispel scrolls at 2000 points and he does damn good sometimes, may need a bit of look with no armour, could always swap dark acolyte for flayed hauberk. Vampires will have the biggest advantage in this small games simply because you're one hero can do magic. I'd probably try and fit a black coach in, maybe a varghulf, nothing much will take them down if you can only have one rare or special (apart from combat res).
Like 12 black knights and I'm buying the blood knights today.
I do not have a vargulf yet.
I also use blood knights in 2k and 2.5k
So i'm needing them anyways.
