You need dispel scroll, probably 2. With only 5 dispel dice on your side, a single magic missle from enemy wizard can kill off your wrath squard easily.
If you took off musician, Dread knight's cursed book and that 6+ ward save, you can have an royal standard of strigos, which gives you reroll to hit or a war banner.
A 45 point armour for a Vampire that only total save of 4+ save +5+ ward? I suggest Flayed Hauberk for that vampire instead, and lord with avatar of death + Enchanted shield,
You many want to give your vampire lord tallisman of lycan, some extra movement so you can stay off combat to provide the Ws 7?
Well to start with you have 6 dispel dice and not 5 but yes you need at least one scroll unless this list is to play against one type of army say dwarves or an opponent you know doesnt take magic.
To save some points you could look at getting rid of a unit of ghouls and instead giv two of your vamps (including the lord) summon ghouls, so instead of trying to keep 3 units up to full stregnth and having only your lord who can raise above starting value, you then have two units you can concentrate your magic on and boost them each to 30+ strong in a short period of time. I dont think you need 4 block infantry units (3ghouls +1 grave guard) and then wolves and bats and knights and wraiths. you only have 7 casting dice to raise with and thats if you dont cast other spells so limiting the number of units is a good idea.
To increase your casting ability and adding more magic to your army try a corpse cart with load stone. they are very under rated.
Unless your playing low Ld enemy its worth getting rid of the banshee in your wraiths, those extra attacks in cc are far more helpful.
In my opinion 15 Grave guard are not enough. take 20 or none at all. you cant raise them above starting unit size so its imperative they start as you mean to go on. you dont want to give away a rank and outnumber early on in combat, especialy as you dont have any combat orrientated characters to make up for the lack of combat ability of your troops.
I feel the Fell bats are a little lost in your list aswell. what is there purpose and how do they support your army and vice versa. maybe drop them to bulk out your GG unit.
Your black kinghts are not looking to brliant except for a flanking force in which case either bulk them up with a champion and another guy, possibly a magic banner, or look at swaping them out for somthing. now if you can support the unit with a vampie close by then theres little problem and they work fine, but if your putting a vampire with them then they loose thier ability to move through terrain. Instead of doing what i think your going to do which is to put the dread knight with them, maybe as Chow suggests have a vamp with talisman of lycni and have him running close by, giving him avatar and dark acolyte which also gives you an extra dice to play around with.
Can i suggest not giving your vamp bloody hauberk also. those are points better sepnt on maybe that dispell scroll you need, then you can maybe look instead at giving him the black periapt or if your desperate for a save go laughable gem of blood which your bound to roll a 1 on when its used., in fact the nightshroud is a good bet should you whish fo some armour.
Instead of cursed book and talisman of protection the book of arkhan is a much more useful item which once again is a bound item further boosting your armies magic meaning your opponent must choose which spells are more dangerous. its also a move spell which is just what you want if you can get it for undead.
lastly what role is your lord to play? does he sit in a unit as a little magic support then munch people in combat, or does he want to sit out the way with uber magic ability. IMO the more combat orientated lord does better in VC armies but in which case id try to get another character in the list even a necromancer just to boost your casting. In my list i have a lvl 4 lord with red fury getting hatred and a regen from the unit he's in, with a 2+ save and sword of might to make him strength 6 and he cerntainly does the business. he sits in gg with a white king bsb then i have 2 other vampires each at lvl 2 which provides me with enough raising power.
hope this helps a little,
I'll second the magic item selection on the hero vampires
For the dread knight:
- Talisman of protection is probably one of the most useless items ever. A 6+ ward save, not exactly useful.
- Cursed book. He's got 3 S5/7 lance attacks hitting on 3+ (probably) with re-roll. If you've engaged something that's going to survive that chances are the cursed book isn't going to help much. If the knights are getting charged then something has gone very wrong. (also, just in case you haven't noticed, Cursed Book only makes them WS1 when rolling to hit you, you still roll to hit them against their basic WS, it's a purely defensive item)
For the second vamp, even though Walachs Bloody Hauberk can be used on it's own, it's much better when combined with other armour.

just meant he should have 2 units of ghouls to concentrate on and have a throw away core like you suggest zombies. my bad for not being clear.
Walach's Bloody Hauberk is nice on a Lord level character if you're taking Dread Knight or Avatar of Death w/ hand weapon, because it is one of the two ways that you can reach the much vaunted 1+ armor save (the other being DK/AoD with Enchanted Shield) and also gives you a decent ward save. You should only take it for a Lord in one of those two configurations, if you ask me. Give that Vamp the Cadaverous Cuirass instead and mount him on a Nightmare. He can still roll with the Ghouls while mounted and you'll be able to afford (or just about afford) a dispel scroll to protect your Wraiths.
I'm assuming that your Dread Knight Vampire is going with the Black Knights? Where ever you send him, I'd suggest getting rid of the Talisman of Protection and the Cursed Book, as well. If you want to keep it simple, just give that Vampire the Black Periapt... it will get you either an extra dispel die or and extra casting die per turn. You could also consider a bound item, depending on your preferences.
If you're looking to scare up a few more points for more GG, you could look at running your Black Knights "naked". It's only 120 pts for 5 Black Knights with no barding.. and they still move through terrain, charge at S6 with Killing Blow and have a not too shabby 3+ armor save. If you're using them as a flanking unit, that is definitely the optimal configuration.
My three paragraphs of suggestions notwithstanding, your list is still pretty damn good. You've got Wraiths and Wights, which are my favorite units and you don't have any Zombies or Necromancers, which I generally don't like. Kudos!
