Hello....once again I am here to propose a new army list......i am thinking alot of infantry blocks (i think it has been done before) and this is my take on it
Lord of the dead
Helm of commandment
Book of arkhan
5x Dire Wolves (yesi know they are not infantry however they fill the point gap i have....plus manfred can raise them)
19x Grave Guard
Banner of the barrows
PD:14(Possibly +1 Black Periapt)
DD:7(Possibly +1 Black Periapt)
My plan is to use all my power dice on the first turn to single dice cast invocation of every unit (except Grave Guard) to get the dire wolf unit to 10, both zombie units to 30, both skeleton units to 20 and both ghoul units to twenty . From the second turn onwards i replenish any wounds caused by shooting (until i get into combat and then i recover wounds caused by combat) and then raise a few more, the i will use a combination of doom and darkness (-3ld to one unit) and waking death (units that casue fear, now cause terror) on my dire wolves so that they run to the -3 ld unit and make them run away. If manfred is in trouble i will use steal soul to gain new wounds on him.
SO what do you think (an please be brutally honest) i will try to explain my choices to you if you do not unerstand why i took a specifiv thing (such as manfred)
Good Luck, and may the dice gods smile upon you and smite your foes
I've never been one for putting Ghasts in units of Ghouls. They tend to make easy targets for an opposing hero to smast them up and get a massive overkill and i dont think the difference between 10 and 11 attacks is worth the risk.
Personally I would never run this type of VC army, mostly out of boredom.
I'm from the school that says if it doesn't have a unit of Blood Knights or a Varghulf its not worth being dead for.
On the other hand with that many vampires you're very likely to get to the other side in one piece.
Out of interest, where are you putting the various vampires, especially Manny and the HoC one.
Well first i have been playing games with 1 or 2 varghulfs and with a unit of blood knights and i thought i would try out a new style of play
Manfred goes in the graveguard , the vamp with lord of the dead goes in one skeleton unit (on one side of the graveguard) and the helm of commandment vampire goes in the skeleton unit on the other side of the grave guard...the other vamp goes in a unit of ghouls
set up looks like this
ZZ GoG0 SS GG SS GoGo ZZ
su lod M hoc
lod=lord of the dead
hoc=helm of commandment
And yeah hopefully i will be getting to the other side in one piece
I like the ghasts as the extra poisoned attacks could really help.
Any other comments or quiries?
