2500, want to see if I'm still competitive

Well, after being out of Fantasy for the past few months, going on a 40k and BFG bender, I've decided to come back to Fantasy after the discussion going on in the "Do Vampire Counts win" thread. So here my list from earlier last year, I wanted to see how y'all think it would hold up in the new Fantasy environment.

Vampire Lord- With the Grave Guard with Banner of the Barrows
    Extra Magic Level
    Red Fury
    Infinite Hatred
    Dread Knight
    Blood Drinker
    Crown of the Damned
    Dispel Scroll

Vampire- With the Grave Guard with The Royal Standard of Strigos
    Battle Standard Bearer
    Avatar of Death
    Dark Acolyte
    Enchanted Shield
    Book of Arkhan

Vampire- With the Grave Guard with The Royal Standard of Strigos
    Avatar of Death
    Dark Acolyte
    Nightshroud

    Vampire- With the Skeletons
    Master of the Black Arts
    Helm of Command
    The Black Periapt

    19 Skeleton Warriors
    Shields
    Full Command

    20 Zombies

    20 Zombies

    Corpse Cart
    Balefire

    Corpse Cart
    Balefire

    18 Grave Guard
    Shields
    Full Command
    The Banner of the Barrows

    18 Grave Guard
    Shields
    Full Command
    The Royal Standard of Strigos

    Varghulf

    Varghulf

Pretty simple deployment, Skeletons in the middle, hanging back a little bit, with the Grave Guard and Corpse Carts directly to the side of them, with the Zombies on the flanks. Varghulfs go where ever there looks like there will be trouble. With -2 to cast and 7(8.) Dispel Dice and 12(13) Power Dice and 3 Bound Spells, I should do well in the Magic Phase. Anything I'm missing?

its actually a really weak list other than the vampires.

Youve got one unit of skeletons which will be trampled by something small.

Your zombies no matter how large you make them will be destroyed quickly.

Grave Guard arent a bad choice although the royal standard is probably more of a disadvantage as if you kill a unit or make them run you have to overrun so they can be brought into the open with that.

To be honest this army will struggle, against all but the armies that are full magic such as one that can match your power dice.

But dont listen to me because this truly is the most $^%#ed up list i have seen, and i have no clue as to what tactics you plan on doing but ive got the jiist of some things

Well, if all goes according to plan, those Skeletons should never see combat, they're just there to prevent the Helm Vampire from ever seeing combat or shots. I suppose I should explain The Plan:

    Deployment is this:

Varghulf, Zombies, Grave Guard, Grave Guard, Zombies, Varghulf
    ...........................Cart.......Skellies.......Cart

By the end of first turn, hopefully the 20 Zombies should be numbering 40 per unit. With at least 12 attempts at d6+4 Zombies, some are going to pop up. I'm not going to lie, I'm one of those people that roll their Invocation on one die, unless the opponent has the Blue Scribes.

The Royal Standard isn't there as much for the Grave Guard, it's for the 2 Vampires in the unit, allowing them to not need to have Infinite Hated out of their gifts. Both units of Grave Guard will have to pursue, do to the Vampire Lord and the Standard, but with a mass of Zombies on each side, they should be able to handle getting flanked.

Also, everything that can will use Hand Weapon and Shield, as Grave Guard are killy enough with Killing Blow. I've reworked the list, I'll be going to a GW for the first time in a couple months this weekend, so we'll see how it preforms:

    Vampire Lord
    Extra Magic Level
    Red Fury
    Infinite Hatred
    Dread Knight
    Blood Drinker
    Crown of the Damned
    Dispel Scroll

    Vampire
    Battle Standard Bearer
    Master of the Black Arts
    The Flayed Hauberk
    Sword of Might

    Vampire
    Avatar of Death
    Dark Acolyte
    Enchanted Shield
    Book of Arkhan

    Vampire
    Master of the Black Arts
    Helm of Command
    The Black Periapt

    19 Skeleton Warriors
    Shields
    Full Command

    20 Zombies

    20 Zombies

    Corpse Cart
    Balefire

    Corpse Cart
    Balefire

    18 Grave Guard
    Shields
    Full Command
    The Banner of the Barrows

    18 Grave Guard
    Shields
    Full Command
    The Royal Standard of Strigos

    6 Wariths
    Banshee

Same deployment as above, except that now the Wraiths go down on one flank and run up to eat some Warmachine Crews.

And I've still got 5 points to play with, so that's another Zombie!

Hey, I really like this list man, I think this could really work, summoning huge amounts of zombies while doing heavy damage with the buffed grave guard units, also the wraiths work well with this kind of army I think, nice work!, I'm gonna try this myselve when I get more zombies
