    Campaign List @ 610pts

    Good day,

    I am part of a Campaign at my local store, was successful in Turn 1 in capturing a castle at 500pts. Turn two I have an additional 110 points to spend and came up with the following list. I am quite certain that the Empire will attempt to take the castle back and perhaps with the help of the Wood Elves. I have Chaos back up in the event the Wood Elves involve themselves.

    The idea behind this list is to, from the relative safety of the castle, raise the Ghouls and Skeletons to full strength. My opponent will have a 625pt force.

    Please have a look at this 610pt list and let me know what you think:

    Vampire (170pts)
    Flayed Hauberk
    Biting Blade
    Lord of the Dead
    Summon Ghouls

    Necromancer (95pts)
    Black Periapt
    Innvocation of Nehek
    Raise Dead

    Ghouls x10 (80pts)

    Skeletons x10 (88pts)
    Champion

    Cairn Wraiths x2 (175pts)
    Tomb Banshee

    Total: 608pts

    This will hopefully give me the PD advantage and allow me to raise the necessary troops

    Drop the Necro you can do alot more with the 95 points
    Deamons of Chaos (21,0,1)
    Vampire Counts (54,6, 11)
    Warriors of Chaos (11,2,4)

    The Campaign continues and I have done rather well!

    The Empire refused to attack the castle, we increased our point values which caused me to wonder about the future. I have created a 2000-pt list and will be adding units as I progess.

    I would like some feedback on the list please but, as a challenge, the rules of the campaign are that a unit, once purchased, must be maintained.

    Gear can be swapped provided the character/unit maintains at least the point value of the previous list. Therefore I have some units that, now in hindsight, I might regret but I will do my best, with help, to make the best of it.

    Units in red below are purchased and are shown as they appear in my current list (with the exception of the Skellies and Ghouls. They are currently at 10 models each). Units in black are completely up for grabs.

    The idea: Lord bombs around on his own, Vamp and Necro with Ghouls and Skellies, WK with the Grave Guard and other units smash flanks. Ethereals would screen the Blood Knights to keep them in check.

    Questions: Do you think that the Lord will survive running around on his own as shown? Would you suggest a cart for the Necro?

    Point values for units in red need to be respected but their gear is up for grabs.

    Ere's a few tips:

    - you generate 7 power dice which I think is too few at 2k, either go 9+ power dice or non-magic
    - I think ur lord needs more speed (flying for example)
    - put ur wight king on a barded horse with enchanted shield (mounted characters can also join infantry units)
    - (3 core units is minimum at 2k) add some more ghouls
    - only use blood knights (remove kastellan btw) if u field direwolves aswell
    - u need some small annoying units like direwolves or fell bats
