This is my basic magicy list for tournies... the army is ment to represent a heavy lahmian theme thus all the skellies and no ikky things like zombies or ghouls!
Queen Ahnksunaten’s Royal Court:
Priestess Queen Ahnksunaten, Vampire Lord w/Hand weapon. Level 3 Wizard.
Master of the Black Arts, Forbidden Lore, Lord of the Dead.
The Accursed Armour, Crown of Damnation, The Book of Arkhan.

*joins Grave Guard (aka Royal Tomb Guards).
- forbidden lore is there so i can specifically tailor my magical lore to suit my opponent's weakness. default lore is either lore of beasts or lore of fire...
- spams invocation, then goes and has some fun with more destructive spells!

Dark Acolyte, Lord of the Dead.
Helm of Commandment, Black Periapt.

Dark Acolyte, Avatar of Death w/Great weapon, Heavy armour.

- main job is to spam Raise Dead and get lots of awkwardly positioned zombie units in front of my opponent!

5 Fell Bats

- 20-strong skellies form up on the GG's flanks. GG go front and center. 11-strong skellies hide behind GG.
- black knights go up 1 flank w/dire wolves acting as a screen.
- fell bats are for warmachine hunting & flank threats.
This is a really nice list although it does have ALOT of dice
Drop one black knight and add in 2 grave guard
Make both units of fell bats 4 man
i was planing to use the grave guard 6 wide though, which is why i plumped for 18... still, an extra body or two would hurt, but would it make the black knight unit a bit too small? (keep in mind, the poneies aren't barded so i can keep my 16" charge!)
i just don't know how well that 3+ save will hold up, and black knights are MUCH! harder to raise...
i figure i'll try the bats both ways... try out the 3 + 5 and then give the 4 + 4 a go to see what works out best!
