Hey guys I played the first weekend of the league this weekend and got creamed by everyone (really competetive lists). If you want to see what I ran look at the last post (though there were some changes to the character's equipment). I can change my list once during the league and looking at the results of this weekend I need to do a major overhaul. Point of note that most competetive lists have multiple units to deal with ethereal units, so the wraiths got the shaft! Also point to note is that there is a restriction saying that your special and rare choices cannot exceed the points of your core choices.....yeah...
Vampire Lord (385) MoBA, DrkA, LoD, Skull Staff, Night Shroud
Vampire (195) Inf Hate, Dread Knight, Balfire Spike, Book of Arkhan
Vamp (19o) Avat.of D, Dark Acolyte, Sword of Might, Dispel Scroll
20 Skelies with spears and command (20o)
15 Skellies with spears and command (155)
5 Direwolves (4o)
5 Direwolves (4o)
9 Ghouls with Ghast (8o)
Corpse Cart w/ Balefire (10o)
14 Grave Guard with Gw and command (212)
5 Blood Knights with command and standard of blood keep (40o)
So, the game plan is that the vampire lord will ride behind the lines wth the ghouls and cast and raise to his undead hearts delight. the skellies will hold the flanks with the grave guard with Dark Acolyte vampire with grave guard up the center. The vampire knight will ride with the blood knights and try to roll up the flanks with the dire wolves supporting. The corpse cart tries to get the GG to strike first

- that vampire knight needs the blood drinker to keep the blood knights going! also, don't ver throw dire wolves into combat... they really are the complete suck at pretty much everything beyond baiting/screening! you're actually better to invest in fell bats for screening those knights, but those knee-jerk comp rules might not allow for it...
- also, drop alot of thos pointless upgrades... musicians are a waste for undead, spears are not needed on every skelly unit, blood knights don't need to pay through the nose for 1 additional attack...
use those pts to help buff the rest of your units by giving them magic banners, buffing your vamps and such!
good luck, I hope this helps,
