So here's the list I cooked up. I usually don't play Necrarch, but the bloodline powers are too good not to play with so I concocted this army to take for Jame's upcoming Game Day XI.
Necrarch Count Shylock, lvl 2, Ring of the Night, the Awakening (extra raised models), and Nehekhara's Noble Blood.
Count Shylock's Skeletal Escort, 20, lt armor and full command.
Wight Lord Fiennes, hvy armor, Enchanted Shield, and Sword of the Kings.
Lord Fiennes' Graven Guard, 20, shields, full command, and Banner of Doom.
Necromancer Lady Portia, lvl 2, dispel scroll, and Book of Arkhan.
Lady Portia's Zombie Horde, 20, standard and musician.
Necromancer Tubal, lvl 2, dispel scroll. Stationed with Shylock's Skeletal Escort.
Gratiano's Knights, 5, full command, and Shylock's War Banner.
Luther's Lost Host, 3.
Shylock's Hunting Pack, 7.
Fell bats, 3.
That's 9 casting dice and 6 dispel and I'm 1 point over 2000.
Whew, I'm glad I'm through typing and damn the dice of whatever god made me an English teacher.
Any changes I should make or things I overlooked?
Phshaw, it's not confusing! :p
Give it another read and you'll see.
The list did well, in a limited way. The only other fantasy player who showed brought his SoC Eshin army, all skirmish and skitterleaping assassins. When I saw that I fear for my Necrarch's undead life. I mean, he only had a 5+ wd save to help him out. But he did well. We massacred them in the first game, controlling his movement with many, many summoned troops and by keeping a tight battle line.
The second game he pulled out a minor victory, as my Necrarch this time didn't prove so tough, failing three wd saves against poisoned attacks. If not for that I'd have pulled a draw.
