If you can take 9 ghouls instead of 8, do so. Here's why. Unlike the rest of your army, ghouls will run from combat. A unit of 8 ghouls only needs 2 casualties from magic or shooting to be panicked. A unit of 9 can take three casualties. Statistically, you're better off with nine.

Playing ogres should be fun. Those ghouls will be great. Posioned attacks against big, tough ogres will make your opponent furious. :p

With hand weapon, light armor, and shield, you would have a 4+ save in combat (5 against ogres). With spears you'd have 5+ in combat (6 against ogres). The lt armor might serve you better, but I don't always follow that advice myself. It's more attacks or better saves, whichever gamble you like better.

yes, i think units of nine ghouls would be better, but i have no points left!!!
i think armors on skeleton wuold be useless, only a waste of points.. i prefers more attacks when charged....
this afternoon i'm going to play vs ogres...

    P.S.What does subscriber means?

this question is off topic but i'm new...

Magnus: *Eyes glow* You want to move the troops into the minefield.
Bob: *Turns to Sergeant* No, move them into the minefield instead.
    Magnus: Heh.

Actually, ogre clubs count as armor piercing, so he'd end up paying a lot of points for a 6+ save or none at all. It would be fine against gnoblars, but I doubt you're going to have trouble with them anyways. I say the armor is worthless against the ogres, or at least not worth its points.

While all units of ghouls being 9 strong would be nice, your list looks pretty solid without it. Also, just hug cover in the jungles, and try to avoid taking panic tests (or keep them semi-close to the general for that awesome Ld 1. If you really want to take 9 in each, I'd say drop skeletons, as you can always raise them back in-game.

I think dropping skeletons is quite risky:
i've noticed that usually ppl play with units of 20 guys each, and i don't want to be outnubered before the fight starts!! U can add some in your magic phase, but in our campaign there are a lot of heavy magic player, and i'm afraid that my first magic phase will be a disaster!!!

If there are a lot of Magic Heavy armies in your tournament then I would suggest dropping the lord to a count as suggested earlier in this thread. That points difference, coupled with dropping both wolf units to 12 would give you enough points, (15, to get another necromancer with 2 dispel scrolls.

This would give you the same amount of dispel dice, but more to help you past high magic defence

    Hope this helps

Oh, and in this tournament there is a limitation:
    One dispell scroll per wizard.
probably there aren't so many magic users... the only trouble is the first battle...
we decided for a match ogre+VC vs Lizardmen
my mate play a no-magic ogre army.... and i'm afraid that the limit of 7 magic level per team won't keep the lizardmen player from playing a slann... I'm not very experienced in playing vs lizardmen, but i think it wuold give us a lot of problems...

Ok, now I understand your army list a bit better

Lizardmen saurus will rip your troops to shreads on the charge, so try to direct them towards the ogres!! They will carry just as much of a punch!! If you get stuck with saurus', try to flank charge with your ghouls of wolves to limit their combat res to just kills!!

Does the Lizardman player have 5000 pts to spend?

Jesus, he could have up to 4 slann!!!!
    Units to watch for:

    Kroxigors (ST7 killing machines!!)
    Saurus (2st4 attacks each!!)

Attack his skinks, as with low leadership they should run!!!
They will probably have Terradons and at least one stegadon so watch out for fast moving, powerful flank attacks!!
