Since Musicians are kinda pointless, i was thinking about dropping all 4 for some magic items or bloodline things. Any ideas???

Dire Wolves cost a lot of points if you don't use them to charge (cos of +1 attack when they charge). Therefore Having As many attacks in the front rank as possible(i.e. doom wolf) is a good idea in my book. My dire wolves run 7 in the front 4 i the back, i want to get 2 more to make it 7 and 6. (15 ATTACKS) I can't split them up cos minimum unit size is 10.
This is a Blood Dragon list so i wanted to make it a bit more focused on strength (in numbers and units) rather than magic, That's why i go with the Wight Lord.
Finally, yeah i probably need to get some dispel scrolls and/or magic items for the Necro. What combat bonus does a musician give you????
it used to be +1 A sorry. Any way i still think the doom wolf is valuable for extra attacks in the front rank.
I really want to disagree too, the doom wolf take away a wound from your unit for the points, reduces staying power, and really one extra ws 3 attack won't make much of a difference, you really want your wolves to get the flanks and be able to hang on for a turn or two, as a unit in the front causes damage.
MJ is right. A doom wolf grants one additional attack. But so does another dire wolf, along with the unit size and wound. If your stuck in combat and needing a champion to strike back because all of the other wolves are dead, then it's a lost cause anyhow. I use to disagree but after thinking about it and being persuaded by other VC players, I saw their points.
i see what you mean, 1 more dire wolf does give you one more wound but not one more attack. That extra wolf will be in the back, you can only have so many in base to base contact. Dire wolves are a one hit wonder you have to use everything you can when they charge.
